SO my son LOVES(!!!!) cars. So we bought the First years lighting mcqueen 3-1 potty chair. Well he loves sitting on it but the problem is it seems to small. His ..... sits on top of the pee guard and when we scoot him back so that its behind it his bum is on the outer rim of it, so when he goes # 2 it kind gets everywhere, except in the chair.... Any suggestions?

Ive tried a tons of potty chairs for my son, he was and is too big for all of them. We have the lightning mcqueen potty though and although he is still too big for it, its the one he likes best and continues to use, but we did take off the pee guard all together and he taught himself to point himself downward when he has to pee.

We've tried using the toliet and like Karen, you'd think we were killin him. Thanks Karen for the tip on the Nuby.

Terra you`re so lucky that your daughter likes the toilet! My son is terrified of it (even with the seats you put on top of them). He`s a bit scared of heights and you would think we were beating him if you could hear him scream when we try to sit him on it. Not worth the trauma, he`ll grow out of it.

Use the adult toilet, generally they sell adapters for it but my daughter sits on the toilet just fine. You could also teach him to pee standing up.

we had the same potty and it leaked everywhere every time he used it :( very disappointed since it wasn't cheap. we ended up going to walmart and buying a Nuby potty. it was about $12 (i think) and it's the best potty i've ever used!! there's no way possible because of the way it's made that it will leak.
