My son will be 2 and half on Monday and we started potty training just over a week ago and he has been dry through the night for the last week, no nappies, he goes down at 8.00 pm and up at 8.00 am, am a very proud mummy. He is good with wee wees but sometimes has accidents with poos, can't believe it has been so easy.

I wish I could give you all the secret but really I just think you have to wait until they are ready, I had a potty in the sitting room and every now and then I would try and encourage him to sit on it but he didn't show any interest, then on the Sunday I put on pants which he wet almost right away and I changed him and he went for a while then I put on pull ups. On the Monday when he went to nursery he had on pull ups and they said they would take him to toilet with his friend Lily when she wanted to go, he came home that day and I took all his bottoms off so he could use the potty when he wanted and he did. Persevered the same until the Thursday when he was back at nursery and in the morning when he was getting dressed he said pants mummy. His daddy said do you really think that is a good idea to which I replied no but we've got try. Needless to say he had accidents at nursery but from then on he has been no bother with wee wees only accidents are with poo. On the Saturday I decided to try him in bed and he was dry and has had no accidents through the night, he now says quick toilet mummy and goes to the big toilet or the potty in the toilet. I think if they are not ready then just wait a while, I'm not saying he isn't going to have any accidents and especially with the poo's but he seems to be better at home with this than at nursery, I don't think he realises he needs quick enough :-)

Please tell me how you did it. I cannot get my son to go to the toilet at all. He is constantly wetting himself, and don't even get me started on the Number 2's. I have been doing this now for almost a month now and nothing

Yes, Please Tell You're Wonderful Secrets! Haha. My Son Will Be 3 Yrs Old In November And He Don't Wanna Do Anything. He Has Pull Ups And We Brib Him With His Favorite Things But He Wont And Just Tries To Get His Prize. :( I Really Want Him To Get This Soon. :(
