Potty Training help for my 3 year old son!!!!

My son is 3 years old and wants nothing to do with the potty he will tell you after he is gone in his training pants that he needs to go to the potty....and i have a feeling it is because he still sees his sisters in diapers. I need help trying to get him to go any suggestions cause he is suppose to be going to school this year but i am gonna have to hold him off for this year now.... If you have any pointers that would be awsome Krissie

Hi Krissie,

I have a 3 yr old girl who we also had a problem potty training. We did the potty charts, the rewards, cute underwear. The best advice I can give you is to not push it. After months of trying, we just went straight to underwear and only do diapers at night. she's a part time preshooler and she comes home dry and stays dry at school and she goes potty at school, but not at home. It must be that at home I push it too much. Her pediatrician told me to back off because then she may not want to go at all. Does your son tell you when he is going in his pull-up? That's also a sign that he acknowledges when he is going and that he has to go.

My oldest who is now 5 was hard to potty train. My husband actually had the idea to let him play outside nude. We had some gummy worms and plenty to drink. He got a worm every time he realized he went pee. after he noticed everytime he went we broght the potty outside and he got worms for everytime he went in the potty. It worked so well he was potty trained, pee wise, in a week. Before we did this we struggled for a month just to get him to sit on the potty. Hope this idea can work for you.
