Potty training ideas?

WOW!! first time parent!! I'm still learning, but it is natural as well... I'm hoping she will come around soon. I praise and encourage 24/7... its just a waiting game! Potty training should come with instructions, but they are sum funny lil things!! Can never judge their next move!! thank u, very helpful!!

thanks! ive figured that i shouldnnt force her to go... but i bring her with an encourage her everytime I go!! Im sure its a long process, but I have no other choice but to wait it out! I heard boys were harder to train!!!! I'm scared of that wen an if i have a boy!!

My 2 oldest girls are 22 mos apart. I had the oldest one pottty trained and when the baby came she slipped and reverted to being "BABY" not the "BIG GIRL" she had become. Just stopped using the potty. You never know what to expect. After the newness wore off the baby she started going again. They are funny little creatures and each one is so different, its hard to tell what they are going to do. I have found they have to have the confidence needed to be ready to even start potty training. So encourage her and praise her. Once she is ready, you wont have to do a thing!

if u have another baby make sure that u give ur girl lots of atention and praise her when she does use the potty had a friend that had baby and was training at the same time and it worked out well just remember lots of praise as rewards.

Im trying to get my daughter useing the potty lol shes been trying to teach her self she took of her dipper and went pee on the floor my mom said I did that when I was learning my son was easyer to potty train I think it was beacuse his freind said your still wearing dippers? then he said No and stuck to the potty lol my daughter will learn in time Im 21 weeks preagnat right now so I hope we get a good handel on it atleast shes trying thou lol

Hi Cathryn,

With my daughter it was very easy she decided herself when she wanted to potty train. I just made sure I constantly took her to the bathroom with me. She was completely out of diapers by 2. My Pediatrician says you should not force your child. You should definitely encourage them, but they will know when they are ready. Boys on the other hand are a totally different story, I have three and OMG! :)
