Potty training my 2 1/2 year old son

My son is almost 2 1/2 and is doing almost great at the whole potty training thing. During the day he wears undies. And I think he maybe has one or two accidents a week. The only thing that is keeping him from being fully potty trained is that he won't go poop on the potty. He will still hide behind a chair and go. He started this whole potty training thing by him self without any help from mom or dad. But he keeps pooping in his undies so I am throwing away a pair of undies almost everyday. I would just put him in diapers but he won't wear them now. I need help!!!!!

hello Lisa. my son is 3 in Dec and thankfully i didnt have this problem. i have a nephew who did the exact same, wouldnt go in toilet/potty and kept dirtying his pants. likr your son he kept hiding behind doors, couch anything he could find so i suggested that she ask him if he wanted to use the toilet on his own so he said yes. she would help him unzip trousers etc, but then leave him in toilet(stood outside) and hey presto it worked

ok put him on the small potty so he can't fall off and leave the bathroom my son will ask fo help getting his pants down and getting on the potty but will not go not even pee when I'm there so maybe that could work but that worked for me and he does have the odd accident but mostley goes in the potty now as long as I'm NOT in there!! cause you said he hides behind the chair so maybe it's just he doesn't want you there cause you did say that he started going in the potty all by him self to start with so like I said try that!!!!!
