I did this to train my 2 little ones how to use the toilet :). Has anyone else done this? Basically you put them on the toilet with you while you go potty and they learn to go with you. Eventually you stop doing it together and they do it themselves.

i have done this to show him that everyone goes on the potty. he still fights it but i came to realize that he isnt going to be 10 and still pooping in his pants so if he goes he goes if not then i always remind him where it goes. since i have backed off and im not in his face so much he seems to be more accepting to it.

I held Ruby a lot when she was little while I went potty but I also started her at 4 months, so it could be either!

My daughter is a copy cat,(daddy affectionately calls her mockingbird), so from day one of potty training, i sit on my potty while she is on hers. We sings sings or read books while waiting... L o l

Well mine actually sits on the same toilet with mom, but i find your method works just as good too :).

Yes I have been doing that with my two ear old daughter. She follows me everywhere tho so thats a plus. Everytime i go to the potty she comes in and sits on her potty. Then I give her a piece of tp and she knowes where to wipe. But she does not go pee yet. I think that that is a god training methed.
