Hi, I'm going to be starting to potty train my 19m girl soon and just wondered if any of you have used pull-ups? Do you use the cold sensor ones or???? What brands work??? Is there products that work better? Any help would be heaven sent!!!! :) Thank you!!!!

Pull-Ups are a waste of money, IMO. The Pampers with the feel-wet liner are the best of them, but they're a pain because every time they wet the pull up (which they will--A LOT) you have to fully undress their bottom half to put on a new one. :P I just recommend a lot of naked time at home. If she doesn't notice or care that there's pee running down her leg, she's not ready. But once she starts not peeing while naked and going on the potty instead, then I'd say she's ready for underwear.

That's how I trained my son. Yes there were accidents thefirst few days, but he's been fully trained for two months, and he's 2 yrs, 3 mons old.

All the brands we've tried work, but to my daughter they are just like diapers. Because of that, I make sure to get the ones with easy open sides (like Huggies) because it makes cleaning up a poopy mess or changing her in a public place much easier.

I would make sure to get some training pants too. They are basically underwear with a few extra layers stiched in. They will still wet (and their clothing too) but the extra layers help prevent a big puddle on the chair/floor.

Good luck!

depends on the child I think, my son has cool alert, if he has an accident he wont tell me. but I'd rather the pull ups than underwear when outside, at home use underpants.. Thats what we've been doing..

I tried the cold sensor ones with my boys and did not work, I just read a post from another mom and what she did was let her little one run naked for couples of days and it seemed like it worked, my girl is 21 months and I am traing to potty train her too, she just sit there and dont do anything, but she takes her dolls.. LOL.. I agree with Sarah, they know they wont get wet wet because pull-ups are kinda like dippers.... I will try with my little one and let you know....Good Luck

My recommendation would be to not use pull-ups. I found that no matter what the kind or with the wetness feel kids still treated them like diapers. When I first started out training I would just leave them in diapers and take them off when I would have them try. Once I felt comfortable with them doing that then we went straight to underwear. We had accidents, but feeling wet in underwear and feeling wet in a pull-up is so much different. They did not like the feel of wet in the underwear (pull-ups they could care less). The only time I used pull-ups was overnight.
