When I asked my dr. about the rash on my sons butt he told me it is dry skin since your child was used to disposable diapers that don't let her skin breathe and now her butt cheeks are getting lots of air, I bet its just dry skin, and her sratching it make it alot worse. You just need to put baby lotion on it and keep her from scratching...That helped my son. Really their little bottoms just need to get used to all that fresh air. My sons finally went away when summer started and I keep lotion on it anyways to make sure it don't come back.

I just bought my daughter, new panties from wal-mart and she also has one big round rashes on each butt cheek. so far it isnt bothering her. she never had it before with other other panties I bought her, Just with the Disney Princess ones and possibly the strawberry shortcake one from walmart. If it continues I am going to take her to the pediatrican, and I am going to throw out those panties and buy new ones (not the same kind).

Same thing here. Since potty training rash on each cheek. I thought it was from wearing wet panties. But not sure doesn't seem to bother her. Aftter 3 weeks of training it has improved.
