She only uses the potty when she is naked...Help!!

I have been putting her in little short sun dresses lately, that way when she sits down she doesn't sit on the dress. These seem to work pretty good. And she is covered from chest to just below her butt. Thank you, and congrats on having a potty trained boy at 2, that is amazing.

Ok this must be real common because my son was doing the same thing only difference was he would wear his pants but he could not wear underwear or pullups otherwise he would soil them he would take off all his clothes all the time i would jus put them back on i let him do what was comfortable for him and eventually he grew out of it and now he is 2yr.old and fully potty trained with no accidents i would recommend letting her run free when company is not there and put on light easy to pull down cloths when they are there or even a lil pull over dress somthing easy for her good luck too you .....

This weekend we have tried being naked...her naked, not me. lol. and she has used the potty all day no problem. I also have the potty right here in the living room, tomorrow I will move it to the bathroom, I know she will still go. But on sunday it is mothers day and we will not be home, so I'm not entirely sure what to do. I guess I can put her in a dress and leave her naked, she is good at telling me when she has to go, but I fear her lifting her dress up around the extended family. That is weird for them. So I will try and figure this out before sunday. hopefully.

The potty training process will go a lot faster if you can just have her run around naked. It helps them realize that they have to go, it can be kind of messy at first but one weekend of a naked girl and she has made more progress than in the last 6 months. The book that I read says that pull up can actually extend the potty training process and based on the experience I have had with my 2nd daughter, I believe it. We talked about it and I told her that when she felt like she had to go potty she needed to yell "potty" and run to the bathroom, we practiced it, she thought it was fun and it worked. Now she is staying dry almost everyday (sometimes wets at naptime/nighttime) but otherwise stays dry. I have been putting her back in pull ups because I don't want daycare to have to deal with the mess but she isn't wetting and wants to go potty by herself now. I would say to at least try it for a weekend and see how it goes. Otherwise, maybe they are just not ready. I have been trying to potty train for about a year, and they say that it can take a good 9 months. Good Luck!!

That was very helpful. I have reservations about letting her run free, because we had a family member recently get arrested for child molestation. So my reasons are at least valid, and I agree that it "shouldn't" be a problem, but unfortunately this is the world we live in. lol. It really sucks. I think I will let her be naked in the house, but outside is not going to happen. Maybe the back yard eventually. Thank you again for your input, it is nice to know other people allow nudity too. And that I'm not just being weird. lol.

ok so here is my input leave her naked anyone who has a problem with a naked child has a sick mind. I have been taking care of children for almost ten years and now have one of my own. Children need to explore their world/ themselves naked to learn and appreciate their bodies when they are older they will get self conscious and cover up . I let my little one be naked all the time even outside in our yard. I used to take care of a little boy who loved being naked outside and playing in the water/mud until he was almost 3 1/2 there is nothing wrong with your child being naked. So let your children be free and the potty training will come naturally as god/ mother nature intended. Teach your children to love their bodies not be ashamed of them and what their bodies do.

I am kind of in the same boat my daughter will use the potty when she is not wearing a pull-up but when she is wearing a pull-up she dosent use the potty. you advice will help me out to.
