Okay so I started training my boy (1yr 10mth) today. Had about 5 sm accidents today (by sm I mean as soon as I caught him he'd stop) and we'd finish it on the potty. He didn't even want to put his diaper on for his nap!!! (Picked it up and threw it in the opposite direction then sat back on the potty.... so cute!) However, he has to be naked from the waist down... otherwise he'll 'go' in whatever he has covering his butt. When do i re-introduce the underwear factor????? Oh and he wont go #2 on the potty either :(

Here is an article from Dr. Phil about how to potty train in 'less than a day' but from what I've read its basically the same as the 3 day method (some one posted it on this forum a couple days ago and gave me the courage to start.. http://drphil.com/articles/article/264/
of course you'll need to adjust to suit your child. For example mine pees in his underwear and thinks of it as a diaper.....so we went comando, and will stay that way until the association is broken (something covering my butt= diaper). Here is link I found that goes into more detail about potty training in general and has good info. IMO http://contemporarypediatrics.modernmedi...
but of course you need to adjust according to your child's readiness and personality. As for the book you can get an ebook at www.3daypottytraining.com I didn't get it though.....so don't know all the tricks and all :( you can find a lot of info just by looking around the net though. I'll post everything that I find interesting and helpful.

Quoting Jennifer:

I did the 3 day method with my 2 1/2 year old son and it worked! He hasn't gone totally by himself yet, but he tells me every time he has to go. He was scared of pooping the first 2 weeks and then I did the little "magic poop stick" trick that was mentioned in the book and it worked like a charm!

What book would you be referring too?  I am getting ready to tackle this project with my son (22 months) and I really want to try the 3-day method.

My daughter liked to be bottom half naked too. She would happily wear clothes outside and would get dressed when going to the shops etc but at home liked to be naked. Eventually we started putting knickers back on her for an hour here and there and gradually increased the time. Then when we were heading off on a holiday had no choice but to fully dress her and she was fine!

Okay.. I need help with my very very stubborn 3 1/2 yr old daughter. What exactly is the 3 day method and can it be accomplished with a VERY active 13 month old clinging to me every 5 minutes? lol

I'm desperate. Pull ups AND diapers are costing us a fortune and it seems like my 1 yr old is more into going without her diapers than my eldest. She doesn't seem to be interested in it at all. She loves wearing panties but only on the VERY rare occassion does she actually seem worries about making a mess in them. If she's running around with or without panties on, she will just stand where she is and make a mess like she's wearing a diaper or pull up. And if I'm preoccupied and don't see her do it, she acts like it didn't happen and will wander around with a load in her panties or soaked to the bone. I'm at my wits end and I don't know what to do.. if someone could give me a detailed description of the 3 day process I would REALLY appreciate it.. thank you.

I am in the beginning of week three with my almost three year old boys. The three day method is a nice idea, but really, it takes awhile. We worked with our boys for about a year on and off with potty chairs and the toliet before I got fed up about two weeks ago and said, "No more diapers." My one son has trouble remembering to go to the potty before he poops, the other is a little better. They know when they have had an accident, last summer they did not. They would sit on the potty, but they didn't make the connection with wet pants=whoops, I guess I should have gone to the potty. Good luck! I have heard boys as young as your potty trained, but you might have to try a few different times.
