tips for night time potty

OOOhhh well I must now BRAG about toilet training my 4 1/2 yr old of a night,... I have been toilet training my 4 1/2 yr old since the 1st Dec and he's had a couple of accidents at night but I can safely say that he is about 99.99 per cent toilet trained,.. YAY for him and for me,.. I occasionally threaten him with pullups on and he gets a little bit cranky with me and a little embarrassed about wearing them, so I now know that he doesn't like wearing them,... Yippee,...

thanks yall all of u have been really helpful she has done really good she is going during the day pretty much not in her pants once in a while she may make a slip but other then that she goes during the day and at night she still has her problem about getting up and going to the potty but every once in a while she'll go all night without wetting herself so i think she is just about there so thank u all for all of ur tips i have took them all into mind thanks and everyone have a MERRY CHRISTMAS

Hi girls,.. I have about 3 pullups left in my 4 yr olds drawer at the moment,... ONce they are finished I won't be buying anymore, much to the disgust of my hubby,.. Oh well I think it will take time for him to adjust but I think its time for him to be out of them,.. I want him to be night trained by the end of next yr,. Yes although the end of next yr is a long way away, it will come fast before you know it.... Its a matter of taking the plunge and jsut going for it... I have another boy who is 2 1/2 and I am currently toilet rraining him(potty training,.. So I'm eager to get this done sooner rather than later,.. I know it will take some time....

oh and a simple little potty in her room may also help it may make her feel like she is a big girl and it is also really convinent for her and it can also make her feel independent. I did this with my daughter and it helped.

the stopping of drinks and stuff is a good idea. anothter thing that i myself tried is placing my daughter in regular underwear and not pull ups or diapers, and we would put a puppy training pad under her. (It will not harm them in anyway asked dr b4 doing this) when we did this it kinda made her feel uncomfortable and we explain to her that she cant wet the bed because if she does the pad will stay there untill they at least learn to wake mom or dad up when they have to go. We first explained to her why we were doing it and that if she didnt want to keep using the puppy pad then she had to wake up and go potty at night just like during the day.

I don't give mine any drink after dinner (6:30ish). Then, they potty before going to bed (8:00ish). That keeps them dry the vast majority of the time.

It sounds like you and your daughter are right on track. So far, I have had amazing progress with my two year old. It seems that you just have to work at their pace. I like the suggestions of cutting off the liquids. We also make sure that our daughter goes before she goes to bed. This really helps for us.

WHAT WE DO IS NOT GIVE OUR SON ANYTHING TO DRINK AN HOUR AND A HALF BEFORE BEDTIME. IT WORKS 9 OUT OF 10 TIMES BUT HE STILL HAS HIS SETBACKS NOW AND AGAIN. GOOD LUCK!

NO JUICE OR WATER AFTER 7 SEE HOW SHE DOESW IF SHE WETS THAN YOU SHOULD WAKE HER UP ONCE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT AND THE POTTY IN THE ROOM MIGHT BE A GOOD IDEA MY 2 YEAR OLD HAS A BATHROOM IN HER ROOM SO SHE DOES GO ALL BY HERSELF AND SHE WILL YELL MOM TILL I COME AND GIVE HER A HIGH FIVE SO IF YOUR CHILD GOES ALONE SHE JUST MIGHT GET UP AND DO IT
