Trying to potty train my 28 month old son. He will pee on the floor, but not on the potty. Anyone having these problems?

Put a dieaper on him and wait until his is three. If he is peeing on the floor, he cleraly isn't ready. Don't cause yourself extra work, parenting is hard enough! It is much easier to change a diaper than to clean pee and poo off the floor!

My son turned three last a few weeks ago and a few days after was the first time he ever went on his potty. I have been putting him in underwear for parts of the day since he turned two. I fought with him...bribed him....begged him, but he just wouldn't even try. After awhile I just relaxed about the whole thing. I still would talk to him about it and have him sit on the potty, but it would never fail he would hold it until I gave up and he would pee on the floor. One day my husband was teasing him about it and he asked for his underwear and went all day with no accidents and no complaining. I think it needs to be there decision when they are ready. Not really advice...sorry. But I know how you feel. I just tried to be patient and cleaned up alot of pee!!

He's only 28mths old. It may be so easy that he's not capable of knowing when it's time to go yet. Mine was 3 in April and has just gotten comfy with the potty/toilet. Every kid is different and frankly, I don't see why they need to grow up so fast... He'll get there; don't stress it. Good luck.
