We have no problem peeing in potty but my 2 year old daughter doesn't want to poop in potty.

My daughter just turned 2 in September. She has show an interest in potty training even before her birthday so I just followed her lead. I bought her a pretty pink potty and pretty panties. Well, I can leave her in panties ALL day and she has no problem going pee pee in the potty but she doesn't want to poop in the potty. She has pooped twice in the potty but both times she was embrassed and upset. I don't want to "push" her to potty train quickly but I want to be able to encourage her to potty. She knows when she needs to poop but she always tells me she wants a diaper on. I've tried showing her that mommy poops and daddy poops. We've also gave her a book to read to maybe "relax" her but she just wants to get up. I've tried to put her on the potty when she says she wants a diaper to poop but she just holds it in and I don't want her to get stopped up. Like I said I'm not like NEEDING her to be potty trained but I want to continue encouraging it. Does anyone have any new ideas???

I had the same problem then my bos told me about the reward system.

What you do is - You make a cardboard chart - with photo's of a toilette a basin,bath and toothbrush and what ver else like keep room tidy or happy helper. You have it laminated or put plastic around so that you can wipe pen on and off or stick stars and remove.

You tell her that when she has a wee she gets a golden star to stick under the toilette if she poops 2. And so on and so on - and when the chart if full she decides what she wants as a reward - a toy - go sdhopping - family activity what ever. My son has been doing that now fior 9 days and it works - I took him to the Bunny Park as his first requested reward for a full chart. When he goes and wee's he get a star -wash hands - he gets a star, brush teeth twice a day - get two stars in total.

Try it. Fighting and yelling don't work ask me - been there.

Make it a game - make the "gunk": sound for her when poop falls in the water - let laugh at it.
