Well, I just had baby girl twins and have a 3 yo daughter. we tried to potty train her before I went in the hospital (i was in for 2 months due to complications) and it just never worked. Now that I am home and she will be 3 at the end of august I really want to get her trained. I have to admit one thing that bothers me is using public restrooms with her when we are out? do you bring paper disposable seat covers with you and hold your child on the seat? or do you just bring a little portable potty in your car for them to go in? I just hate the thought of her in a public restroom because she tends to touch everything (even if i tell her not to) and it just grosses me out.. any advice?

I have the same problem with my daughter touching things in the public restrooms....that's just what they do :-). As far as using the public restrooms, it's something that is pretty much inevitable when you have a newly potty trained child (or one still learning), I just try and take all the necessary precautions to assure her safety. Sometimes I clean the seat before I even put a toliet seat cover down (sometimes I use 2 or 3 @ a time). It is just something that u are going to have to use ur own judgement in the end. I finally got my little one potty trained, so when she says she "gotta go potty" I try to keep in line with it where ever we are because I don't want to confuse her. GOOD LUCK WITH HOW YOU WORK IT OUT!!! :-)
