I have heard a good age is 2 1/2 and then if they are not ready then around 3 years. I have a 2 year old daughter and I am planning on starting around 2 1/2...hopefully it will go well. I have heard you have to be ready just as much as they need to be! ;) Hope this helps and good luck!
