I am just wondering if anyone is having on going problems with themselves or their babies, after your experience with HELLP and/or preeclampsia ...

I get dizzy at times head feels werid head achs at times.. chest pains at times.. but doctors cant find anything wrong with me so idk

Thanks Anna! I ended up getting put on Bystolic. Just the smallest dose I think, 5 mg. I have a pretty high pain tolerance, but these headaches were unbearable. My BP was 155/100 when I went in for my appointment. It's only been 4 days, and it's down to around 120/80 or 115/75. My headaches are now gone, too. Hooray! Hope this keeps working... and maybe I can get off the medication in the future. =)

Hang in there Monika. My bp didn't really level out till 12 moths postpartum and that is with the help of a bp med called Exforge. The headaches did finally get fewer and fewer but I still get a really bad one about once a month. Good luck at the doctor. Let us know how things are going.

I'm still (4 months postpartum) having spikes in my blood pressure, accompanied by very bad headaches. I'm going to talk to my doctor about it on Wednesday. The headaches are awful!

yes in fact its weird, i cant have any salt at all still...if i have even a tsp added to any plain dish i blow up like crazy...it sux real bad..

My son is almost 2 and I still get terrible headaches and get dizzy. My blood pressure isn't generally high but I think it must spike occasionally. The only problem Jayden has is that he seems to get sick more than term babies. We are constantly at the doctor's office for one thing or another.

I had bouts of the liver pain and high LFT's for about 3yrs after our 1st daughter was born with HELLP/Severe PE.

Still get headaches and dizzy spells, all due to high BP, 7 months on... :S

Hi Kristi, The only issue I have had is the continuing high blood pressure. I go to the doctor about it again tomorrow. Jesse has been doing great. He still has the acid reflux but the ped told us that could happen to a full term baby also.
