Not as far along as we thought. Has this happened to anyone.

A little background. According to LMP I should be 7 weeks 5 days. Saw the ob for first prenatal on September 13th. He could only see a gestational sac with his u/s machine. Had me scheduled for a more in depth u/s at the hospital on September 15th. U/S tech said it looked like I was 5 weeks not 7 weeks. Called dr's office today, nurse called me back and explained that everything looked good that I was measuring at 5 weeks 4 days instead. They are not allowing me to have another u/s until October 18th when I am scheduled for the first trimester screening but I have an ob appointment on October 11th. The dates could be a little funky bc I got pregnant 2 cycles after having the Mirena IUD taken out. So I might have ovulated later then I thought. My first cycle was 43 days. If any one has had this happen it would really help me to hear your story or if any one had any thoughts.

that happened to me with my first baby. I knew my last period started on feb 1, 2009 so my due date should of been nov 8, 2009 after my first ultrasound they said i was due nov 19 instead which didnt make any sense to me. so as time went on i kept measuring smaller then i should have. I had bad morning sickness for the whole nine months and at the end I had only gained 11lbs (i had a decent size belly but lost weight everywhere else.) I had 3 ultrasounds and was booked for a 4th but went into labor the day before. I had her on nov 15,2009 she was 6lbs 6oz but when i deliever the placenta it was half the size of a regular one.

I had that happen with my daughter. we figured my due date was july 2. but when they did an ultra sound she measured a few weeks later.for july 21. talk about a let down. all i could think was, i have to wait that much longer? She ended up coming 3 weeks early anyway, on july 1 of 2000. very rarely does the baby come right on your due date. It just gives you a general idea of when to expect your wonderful addition.

I have heard of this kind of thing it happened to my ma 14 years ago and she just thought she was late and then found out she was pregnant , she thought she was going though the change and went to see her doctor and that is when the doctor told her she was pregnant
