I recently had my son 9 lbs 5 ounces on December 3rd, 2009 and me and my husband are expecting my second, his first child! I am already almost 10 weeks along and we are both excited. I am just worried about all of the complications we could have. My Doctor was happy and said everything should be fine... but in the third trimester I have to get alot of rest. How am I going to do that???

My older two are 13 months apart and i even had a c-section with the first... (nobody told me i shouldn't get pregnant for a least 12 months after a c/s) but everything went fine, just rest when you can every time you can. my eldest didn't walk for about 6 months after the second was born so had to carry two but they have grown up well together.

best of luck

I had my second child in September of 2009, and now I am 15 weeks pregnant with our third child. The doctor didn't say anything about resting to me..lol.. I assume that he figures with an 8 month old, and a 3.5 year old theres not much time for resting. But... he did say that he often sees women who have close pregnancies complaining about having a lot of pain and pressure in their hips and pelvic areas during the last 10-15 weeks. I didn't start getting any hip pain with my first two pregnancies until around 35ish weeks... so I have my fingers crossed that I'm not waddling around like a duck due to hip pain for 15 weeks!.... It's going to be crazy busy for a while.. but I'm sure it will be lots of fun too!

that's tricky but you will be able to pull it off. our 1st two are 18 months apart and this one will be 22 months from our 2nd one. your figure out how to manage. i highly DO NOT recommend potty training the first one until the little one is older. i made the mistake of trying when the little one had just been born and there simply was no way for me to do it. she did great when she started at 2 1/2 anyway.
you'll need to find ways to let a few things go so you can rest. see if you have any friends or family members who can help out and hand your son over to your hubby after he gets home at night. then you can sit on the bed and fold laundry while you watch tv. you can get some simple dinners by ordering out or you can make meals now and freeze them so your hubby can heat them up at dinner time. it will give them a chance to spend more time together anyway. that is always good. hire someone for those months to do the house cleaning. your health is first and foremost.
for me, the first month was hell w/a new baby and a toddler. then after three months i got the hang of it, not great at it, but better. so don't expect the world of yourself. you're little guy will probably be clingy for a while, he's gonna be trying to figure out where he fits in the new order of things. i nursed our first for 6 months then pumped when i went back to work and nursed at night until she was 9 months. w/our second, i nursed for 3 weeks, i was just too tired, i had the milk supply but i was beat. but she is just fine. so if you can't do some things, don't worry about it. you're giving your kids the greatest gift by giving them one another. our girls are hilariously cute together and love each other so so much.
good luck w/everything!

My first three biological are all around 20-22 months apart, but with my sister-in-laws I have basically three sets of twins. I'm due in November with this baby and the closest will be 2 at that time, but I will still have 7 kids with the oldest being 5!! It's crazy at our house, but we love it!

Laura-

My children will be about the same age difference apart, it will be harder I agree but it's worth it to know that they will grow up closer in age.
