I was wondering . . I have a 2-month old. We use Pampers. The blowouts are out of control. Any other moms face this with Pampers? Is there a better brand for controlling blowouts out there? Thanks in advance. :)

I realize this post is old but others may stumble across it in a search so...

If baby is blowing out regularly, you may not be using the best size or brand for your little one. Try 6 of the top brands at once with Miny Moe's diaper sampler! www.miny-moe.com

Also, heard of the Blowout Blocker? Worth a try perhaps! http://melzybaby.com/blowout-blocker/

I use Huggies! I have found them to be the best because of the stretchy band in the back and are better for my daughter's chunky little thighs I have tried the other but they all gave my daughter a diaper rash.

Here's what we found. Huggies are great for the beginning of the sizes and then Pampers (seem to be a little bigger) are great for the end of the size.

My son is also 2 months old as of the 18th

we had the same problem with pampers and huggies. we actually found that luvs works the best especially for blow outs.

I have tried the huggies, generic, and pampers and all 3 of my kids have had allergic reactions to them. I use Luvs and have had no problem with them... Even when we go on trips cross country and they have to be in them awhile they haven't soaked through to the clothes.

I used Pampers w my 1st...and then 2nd child, they are very different because they worked great with first, no bad blow outs...with second not so lucky, so I tried huggies, they have worked so far, the strip across the back saves a lot of clothing changes! IDK why I tried them but glad I did. I miss the plain simplicity of Pampers though

Pampers is the only brand I use. It is definitely better than any other I've tried. And yes, no matter what brand you use, a large poop will leak out the top since the baby usually goes while lying down. It happens.

Unfortunately, I have tried them all and Pampers 12 hour are the best by far! They make a heavy duty night only diaper too, it has ZZZZZs on the diaper, I am not sure what they are called.

Ive used pampers for the last 5 months. NEVER used huggies, everyone tells me they leak. The trick with pampers is to adject them very tightly, fluff of the diaper at the bottom so it cant leak out. and when u see ur little one starting put them in a sitting up position that way it all kinda goes down instead of up into their outfit Hope I helped :)

We call what my son has Monster Poops. We've been using Babies R Us brand since we found them months ago and they work GREAT and are CHEAP. Like half the price of all the other places. Run there :)

my son nathaniel makes big messes down there and we use pampers brand. we have never had a leak yet and he has even had one on all night well from 10pm till 8am and we didnt find any wet spots. i love the coverage pampers gives. they may not be the cheapest but they have good coverage and we have also never had a rash either....call me crazy but pampers is my brand when it comes to diapers and wipes.

I like pampers but have much better luck with the target up and up ones. Very similar but for some reason they leak a lot less! They are a lot cheaper too :)

I tried huggies and the blowouts were out of control, so i now use pampers and have no problems now, my nephew cant use pampers and only has huggies so i suppose its trial and error till you find a brand suitable for your little one :)

I really like Earths Best, I didn't think I would but I had got a pack at my shower they Organic, and you wouldnt think by feeling them that they would work well. But the did for us. Also the Pampers Baby Dry.

I like luvs the best when it comes to blow outs I've used huggies, pampers, and generics and none hold up for us as good as luvs

I live by Huggies with both my sons never had any problems with them. THe only time they ever leaked or poop came out it was because the diaper was getting to small. I suggest maybe its time to go up a size.

I will never use any diaper but huggies. Thats my opinion though i love them they are thick and hold way more then Pampers

I had blow-out problems befor I decided to go to using fabric nappies. I use "hippybottumus" pre-made fabric nappies. they are more comfy for him and the mess is down to near nothing. not to mention, after forking out to begin with, they arent going to cost me nearly as much as disposables. plus, there is no folding involved !!!!

Try 'Libero'. They look more natural than 'Pampers', but both of them are good.

This has nothing to do with diapers but for the car seat Walmart.com sells covers for car seats that are water proof and come in different characters like Dora and spongebob and if your little one has an accident you can just remove it and wash it they are 14 dollars not counting the tax of course

I just started using luvs and they are working pretty good I change my daughter every 4hrs except at night when she sleeps 8 and I haven't had any problems yet she is going to be 3 months on Feb 15. My sister in law also uses luvs for her son who is just one month younger. The luvs have an ultra absorbed core stretch sides and leak barrier leg gathers.

I have found it doesn't matter what brand I am using if she is in her car seat/carrier we have a problem. I am still using different brands that we received as gifts but then I will most likely go back to just huggies. I'm racking up the rewards points with two in diapers :)
