I just calculated my 3 year old son's.

He is 37 pounds and in the 90th percentile for weight.
He is 40.5 inches and in the 96th percentile for height

My 15 month old daughter is much smaller!

She is 24 pounds and in the 65th percentile for weight.
She is 30.5 inches and in the 46th percentile for height.

My husband is really tall at 6'4.
And I'm really short at 5'2.
Looks like my son takes after my husband and my daughter takes after me! :)

What percentiles are your children in?

Yeps she is tall, everyone thinks she is 4 or older! You have to be careful because people expect them to act the age they look. i have got weird looks when they note she is drinking from sippy cup or bottle in the past..

I make sure to state her age so people don't expect her to act older. Everyone is suprised when I say her age. She wears like size 5T now! I have family and friends from the states and ask them to buy size 5-6T. My friend sent some cute clothes for her in size 3T and they are too small, she is thin so they fit but were way too short!

My 11 month old son is on the 92nd percentile for weight. For height, doctor was not able to jot down, so I can't have figures right now. - We are also both tall, 5"7 and a half, so he is also a tall child. I also found an interesting article about percentiles, which I want to share - http://ezinearticles.com/?What-You-Need-...

I don't know his exact numbers anymore, but at his 3 year check up (6 months ago) he was in the 25th% for weight and height... same % at his 2 year check

My daughter was in the 90th+ her first two years. At 5, she is in the 3rd for height & 8th for weight. Go figure! Even better, she has divided her Kindergarten class into the ones who are big & the ones who are "little like me".

My daughter will be 3 next month.
She is 40 inches tall and 39lbs. She is in the 98th percentile for her age. I am 5'9" and my hubby is 6'3" so both of us are pretty tall as are our daughters.

my youngest is 38 pounds and in the top 86 percentile
her height is 39 and she is in the top 80 percentile
my other kids are about the same in the top 50+ percentile. i was a big baby and now i am 125lbs. with all the moving my kids do, no problem for obesity, they can't sit still for a minute.

lol, at my sons 4 year old checkup in june, he was 27 lbs and 35.6 inches. less than the 3rd percentile for both height and weight. according to the other link he'll be 5' 6" when he's 18, no basketball for him, lol.

Krista, I had an ex boyfriend who was 6'5, he had two brothers also over the 6 foot mark. But their parents were incredibly short! His mom was 5 foot and his dad was 5'6. I have no idea how that worked out. lol

According to that website, my kid's going to be 6'2".

I have no idea where he gets his height. I'm 5'7, which isn't crazy-tall, and my husband is 5'10. His parents are slight, and mine are average. The only tall one in the family is my husband's grandfather, who is still 6'2" at 90 years old.

How tall are you and his father?

My son is 3 1/2. He is over 97% in both categories. He is 46 pounds and 46 inches tall. He was only 8lbs 6oz at birth but has grown quickly since then. The Dr. said 6'7 when he is full grown.

Makes sense to me except my Jessica she was really little and my healthy normal fat big baby at birth! Sammie was a preemie at 28 weeks, my tallest so far, and Claire was tiny at birth too at 5lbs. but in the end they all look good and are not shorty shorty like me!

My son is below the third percentile (nearly 4 yr), my daughter is in the 15th percentile (2 1/2), and my other daughter is in the 5th percentile (9 months).

Ok I used your website and it says;

My SD will be 5'8

My son will be 6'4 (same height as his dad!)

I rounded up half an inch though. So that might make a slight difference. ;)

Angela, my MIL told me that if you double their height at 2 years old, you'll get their approximate adult height. She did it for both her kids and was exact for her daughter and only off by an inch for my husband. You're suppose to be half your adult height by your 2nd birthday.

My SD is suppose to be 5'7.
My son is suppose to be 6'0.

The link won't work for me. But the last him he was weighted/measured my 3 yr old was 39 inches and 42 lbs. He's had a growth spell since then.

Haha! Yeah, it looks like you've got a tall one on your hands!

What always makes me laugh about our son is what my dad's wife said when he was born... He was born 6 wks premature, so here I've got this preemie and she tells me, over and over, "Oh, he's going to be a six footer!" My husband and I would laugh at that and roll our eyes for the past couple years, now I'm thinking she might be right. hehe - Ooops.

Woah, ok I just checked it. haha.
My husband was 40 inches and 37 lbs at 3 years old. So my son is the same weight and half an inch taller (but could be some human error). Looks like my son is catching up to his daddy. ;)

My MIL kept track of both her kids height and weight from birth to 18 years old. CRAZY. But it's a pretty neat reference. I haven't checked my hubby's baby book recently, I'll have to give it a look. But he was way bigger than my son. He was a huge child. lol

His whole family are giants! His dad is 6'8, he is 6'4, his sister is 6'2 and his mom is 5'10. Both sets of great grandparents are also around the 6 foot to taller mark, men and women. But I don't think my son will be nearly as tall. Maybe 6 foot or 5'11.

My mom's side is really short (weird cause they're scandanavian) and my dad side is average to tall. Most of the men are close to, if not, the 6 foot mark.

I actually don't know my son's exact numbers. He did just have his 3 yr check up and he's 90th percentile for height, 50th for weight. Which he's been consistent on since he was a baby.

Jenni, my son is only a half an inch shorter (used to be the same size last month) as my 4 yr old nephew. Which is pretty wild since my son just turned 3 and my nephew will be 5 in two months.

Wow Angela. Claire IS tall. lol People always think Ben's 4 years old but he just turned 3. He's only half an inch shorter than my 4 year old SD. And as tall if not taller than most 4 year olds I know. But your daughter is nearly as tall as him. :)

My kid's pretty big. He used to be in the 97th percentile for height and 95th for weight, but his growth has slowed down a bit, so now:

At 24 months:
your child is 31 pounds, and that is
at the 82th percentile for weight.

your child is 36 inches, and that is
at the 85th percentile for height.

All my kids are tall and 2 were off the charts as toddlers, Sammie was long and thin except my Jessie she was a bit pudgy and short, compared to my string bean's Sammie and Claire.

Claire is 33 months old, she is 39.5 inches tall and just shy of 32 lbs. or 100cm and 14.5 kilos

She is well above the 95th percentiles in the USA and even here in the Netherlands ( where we have the tallest people on the planet). She is off the chart in the USA. Here she is in the 98th %

I think she is going to be tall! My other girls are tall but not huge, Jessica is 5ft 5 inches and Sammies 5ft.9 inches. I am short at only 5ft 2 inches! But they said my Jessica was going to be short and that Sammie would be at least 5ft 10 inches and well they were a bit off. So you just never know for sure really

I did not give birth to my son but he is about 5ft 9
