Potty training defiance

My 3 1/2 yr old girl is potty trained day and night but every once in a while she will tell me she needs to potty then go into the bathroom, whine and then pee on the floor. Then she says she is mad at me for not going in there with her. Other times she will tell me she needs to go and then just whine when I don't go in there with her. We're trying to teach her independence. Most times she does it by herself at preschool and home. It's not that she can't make it in time. She'll tell me she needs to go then just stands in the bathroom whining for a few minutes. I can understand the accidents. But this is just down right defiance.

its also a source of control, she has control of her body and she figured it out...accidents are accidents since her body isnt fully ready yet..soon she wont whine anymore, you could try a reward system like a sticker or something if she goes alone at home....might help

I would make her clean it off the floor. (Of course you'll have to finish) but if she has to take responsibility and clean it she may think twice about doing it again.

My daughter is really defiant. She will be 4 in April and still will whine for me to get her dressed. She can do it, she just doesn't want to. (Of course I also have a 1 year old and I think that has something to do with it.) You just have to show her that she is not baby anymore and can do things on her own. Also, she may be afraid to be alone. Maybe bringing a special doll with her for company will help.

I know all about a defiant child. Those are so hard to handle. Just remember, she will not always be this age. :)
