Medicade also provides healthcare for pregnant low income moms. Planned Parenthood is not the only option. It might be the easier option.

March of Dimes is an abortion and PP supporter. Their philosophy is that if you are at high risk for premature birth, then they encourage "termination" because their belief is that preemies have too many problems. Typical nazi mentality, sadly, that does not believe that life is as valuable if it is not perfect. It's the same mentality that encouraged mom's of down syndrome babies to terminate. If you ever have questions, I think it's either American Life League or American's United for Life that has a list of all the "charities" that you should not support if you are pro-life. That is where I learned about the Leukemia and Lymph society when my mom was dying. I also was looking for a charity called "Little Giants' because I had got asked to support a fundraiser in honor of a child and it wasn't listed. So I sent them an email and they guy did TONS of research and was able to find out that it was also a charity with unethical practices! I was impressed at how quickly he got back to me and the amount of time he put into researching my question. Sometimes you really have to dig because they try to be deceptive when they are involved with that stuff just like Komen was.

Honestly, as much as I disagree with Planned Parenthood's providing abortion services, they truly are one of the leading providers of healthcare for lower class women who can't afford it. That means prenatal care in a lot of cases, and also regular female health issues like breast exams. If funding wasn't provided for those programs, the women (and babies) that need those services would be without them.

The State of MN March of Dimes chapter does not provide money to PP, neither does the National MOD office. They fund the week 39 initiative.

The March of Dimes exists to try to prevent birth defects. If you abort the baby it won't be born with a birth defect. Sad but true.
