I had heard that same rumor about the Swiffer Wet Jet. Turns out it's not true though.

I like the swiffer dusters, but they are so expensive. I recently bought a swiffer like duster from Dollar Tree that is washable. So far so good!

I've never heard that. But if you think about it, pretty much any chemical can be deadly to animals.

I don't let my husband walk on my floors until they're dry, let alone my super messy 2 year old lol. I would think once it's dry, it'd be just fine? It's not like they're drinking it (some animals lick the floor, but I've never seen a kid lick it).

Is the swifter wet jet safe for children? I heard that the chemical used in the solution can be deadly to animals.

That's how I am, Sara.. I do quick cleaning a lot.. But for major work, I wouldn't use Swiffer. I TRY to do deep cleaning around the house at least once a week. We keep it up with the Swiffer and then I go to town with my mop and bucket. Though I think I'm going to start getting on my hands and knees b/c my back was killing me the last time I mopped. Time to get a good scrubby brush..

I actually love my Libman Wonder Mop, though, and Pine-Sol (or the Mr. Clean w/ Febreeze).

When I clean, I want it to be good! I used to use swiffer products, but they just don't live up to my Rainbow vacuum cleaner and getting on my hands and knees to scrub the floor. It's good for a quick clean, but like I said, if I'm going to take time to clean I want it to be perfect!

Hehehe.. My son loves to help, too. He actually whips out the sweeper and says 'I ceaning, mommy!' Even if I'm doing something else at the time.

I love the sweeper and the wetjet. The dusters are AMAZING. I like the wet cloths for the sweeper for light cleaning. But I find it's easier to use the wetjet for big jobs b/c the wet cloths lose their wetness to quickly and you have to keep stopping and changing them. The dusters are great for my ceiling fans and the A/C units (located above our windows). I can't believe we used to have to grab a wet cloth and have to keep climbing onto a chair and getting down to rinse the cloth before Swiffer came out with the extending handles. I love the products.

I love them! Easy way for my kids to help with the dusting, moping the floor, or anything they want to do! (yes they love to help do housework lol)
