Workout Videos...

My mom just bought me Billy Blanks Tae Bo DVD workout set..... I did the beginner one today and WOW! Crazy awesome workout! Instead of sitting at the computer or watching TV while Roxanne was napping I decided to get busy...LOL! Anyone else have any recommendations?

I have some yoga and pilates DVDs. Some are from Gaiam (HIGHLY recommend Gaiam DVDs and their yoga mats/blocks/straps are really good, too!), some are Caribbean Workout DVDs w/ Shelly McDonald. I like those a lot, too. I have Yoga Booty Ballet, which is really goofy and you feel silly, but it's a great workout. I also have The Goddess Workout collection with Dolphina (she changed her name after a dolphin saved her life after a boating accident.. interesting) but the workouts are really good and she helps you with putting things in a routine, she has performances on the DVDs to help you get an idea of everything and she also gives tips on costumes and belly dancing for your man, etc.. Not as cheesy as other belly dancing DVDs that I've seen before, so I'm pleased with it.. Great cardio workout, too. I also have a power yoga DVD that I haven't tried since before I had my son.. It's too fast-paced when I haven't been doing yoga regularly anymore.. I can't remember the name of it though.

Also, my mom and sister got some of the Belly Dancing videos a while back (the ones with the twins instructing it). That works well and is fun, too.

Yoga For Dummies DVD is more my pace, though.

I love P90X. Both my husband and I both do it and the results are amazing. He was already very muscular, but this leaned him out and now he is more defined. It was difficult for me at first but when I do this workout I feel pain in muscles that I didn't even know I had. I feel like I'm in high school again!

Zumba rocks! I took it as a college course for a semester and lost 22 lbs in 18 weeks (sadly I gained it all back the next semester since I was not continuing with the college class...I just recently got the DVD's its so fun my daughter likes to do them with me she thinks were just dancing...so far in 3 weeks I have lost 4 lbs but im going to get dedicated again and loose the weight I gained back!

My husband will put in an Andre Rieu DVD and all three of us (except I can't now... can't move with this tummy) will dance until we sweat! I've always had fun with classical music, though... he's extra fun!

Good Luck, Dana!!! I have 15 to lose in extra baby weight but I'm not at all determined as of yet.

Haha.... I love dancing around with Roxanne too! Always a great workout but unfortunately I have quite a bit of weight I need to lose (80lbs would be ideal) so I really need to get motivated!

Does role play or 4 squares with a 13 month old count?!?! I've never tried a work out DVD but interested to read the responses.

Honestly, I've never set foot in the gym or really excercised at all but I should start and at home sounds great!
