Anyone familiar with author Priscilla Shirer? How about her book "And We Are Changed: Encounters with a Transforming God"? Began a Bible study centered on it a few weeks ago with some friends. It's packed with so much practical insight I just had to share! :)

Quoting Melissa:

You've got me thinking, Heather...(that's a GOOD thing!) Not about the referral (sounds great, will have to check into it), but about "not having a whole lot of time for reading". My "free" time is VERY limited as well. You can probably imagine how limited with three children 5 and under! It used to feel as if all I ever read was the Bible, for like you, I used those "spare" moments to read scripture. Since starting a Beth Moore study, other than the passages she directs me to, seems as if I never read the Bible anymore. Will pray on it and allow God to direct me to a "happy medium". :) Thanks for jumpstarting my brain!

Melissa,

I have 4 kids all 6 and under! I am hopeing that when my kids get a little older I will have time to read some other books, but for now, I am happy with my time spent in scripture. I have a whole list of books that I will read when my twin girls finally start school though!

One of the ladies in my Bible study recommened Restoring the Christian Family. She said it has been life changing for her. I don't have a whole lot of time for reading so I do almost all of my reading directly from the Bible, but I though I would pass on the recommendation.
