PRAISE GOD I've never been one to choke on apologies! LOL!!! :):) Wanted to share another "I'm so sorry" with all of you for my lengthy absence...again. Almost two weeks ago, one of our "best friends (e.g. dogs) was diagnosed with Lymphoma. Weston (AKA "Fwend") was given no longer than 4 months. The past week and a half has been filled with A NUMBER of vet visits and some REALLY tough choices about meds and chemo. Weston happens to be our youngest dog...turning 7 this year. He was rescued at 2 months old from a ditch beside a road where someone had thrown him from a car window (at least that was the Vet's best guess). He was dehydrated, had a broken leg and was on the brink of death. The vet turned him over to a WONDERFUL rescue group called "Foothills Golden Retriever Rescue (as a pup he STRONGLY resembled a Golden). My husband and I took him in and fostered him until a "forever home & parents" adopted him. As the months passed, he began to grow in to looking as much like a Chow as a Golden. MANY potential adopters couldn't get by this...not even with his beautiful brown eyes and loving and winsome personality. The Rescue Group was at a loss what to do when my husband (whom had grown VERY attached to him) and I agreed to adopt him. He's been a part of our family since: having even went on our honeymoon with us! :):) Needless to say, this has hit us HARD. Did I mention how hard this has hit us??? ;) PLEASE keep us in your prayers; that our Lord gives us the strength to withstand watching his health fail. And to be able to send him on to...well, to perhaps the pearly white gates. Am clinging to the hope that I will see my beloved pets again one day. At this point, he's on a host of meds and is doing quite well. We opted out on chemo" we just don't have the $5,000+ to spend on it. Oh, how I wish we did.:( But I have not given up on my dear friend, and pray for him nightly. I do serve a God, after all, that is in the business of miracles! PRAISE HIM!!!
