How can I find family-friendly hotels and accommodations?

With summer right around the corner, lots of families are planning road trips and summer vacations. What are ways to find which hotels and other accommodations are best suited for children?

I find Fodor's Choice great books filled with good choices of hotels/activities for kids... pretty much around the globe!

Easy peasy... just pop my computer open, login to my WDC travel membership, find the most luxurious condo (must be 2 bedrooms at least since there are 4 of us) possible, with the best locations (preferably waterfront), making sure it's under $400 for the week, and book.
