By Angela Langlands - Posted on Jul 20, 2011 2 20 We took a large cardboard box and made a 'shoe' out of it. We used ribbon as the laces and just practice 'loop-swoop-and-pull' on a larger scale. It seemed to work. Both of our kids learned to tie within the day and though they are often in Crocs, it makes PE days a breeze! Good luck. 9 By Silma Sanchez - commented on Aug 27, 2012 0 24 It's a perfect idea. I'm a teacher and teaching a kid to tie his shoe has nothing to do with knowledge, but with motor skills and his physical development. So, let's keep practicing. Thank you.
