Since making the decision to homeschool my children I have delved wholeheartedly into the adventure and have amassed a wealth of materials and resources. In order to keep track of everything efficiently I have created an organized homeschooling area that surpasses all other areas in my house in terms of organization and tidiness. Now if only I could get the rest of my house up to this standard I would be VERY happy. But I suppose it's only natural to spend more time and give more attention to the things that we love, and instilling a love of learning and fostering a well-rounded education in my children is my top priority right now.
Our dining room actually doubles as our homeschool classroom, with the buffet and hutch doing double duty as well. The glass doored- hutch stores glasses and large bowls. The buffet drawers store most of our school supplies - all hidden and neat and tidy. This space stays the neatest because everything is only pulled out for a time and then put right back.
I'm proud of our organized linen closet. Not only is it functional, it's pretty to look at! The labeled baskets & bins really help corral supplies, linens and other closet odds and ends. I share the before and after images in the linked blog article.
Oh it's a hard one, but it's a toss up between the pantry or the plastics cupboard. These are the most recent big clean ups. Good thing is, since I blogged about them, I now have photos to refer back to, so I can see what they looked like and as motivation to keep them that way, it really does make life so much easier when everything has a place...

The most organized space is currently a small portion of my closet that houses my bracelets and my scarves. A little "upcycling" if you will: http://www.thedomesticlifestylist.com/2012/05/how-to-reuse-everyday-items-to-organize.html
Hmmm, that's hard. I'm always decluttering and re-re-organizing! I've found that the more extreme my decluttering and the more defined the space, the better it stays organized!
Right now, my favorite space in the house is my recently re-defined gameroom. I worked so hard to change it from being a catch-all, multi-purpose room to being a useful space for our family's real needs. It was a long process of figuring out what this really meant, but the result has been great!
And I find that the more true-to-the-way-our-family-lives I can make a space, the more easily it STAYS organized. And that's what it's really about, right?
This is my home office space that I am very proud of. I put up that wall of magazine and catalog clips for color inspiration. My favorite parts of my desk are my two Homegoods finds that amazing rustic caddy and the black and white graphic box. The caddy holds all of my file folders (I have folders labeled school/camp, taxes, insurance, and interior projects that I'm currently working on...) and Benjamin Moore fan decks. The graphic black and white box is the perfect storage for my stationery! I almost forgot the amazing humongo dry erase calendar that helps keep my family on schedule.
I organized my boys' closet and I'm pretty proud of how it turned out. It really makes the most of the shared space, leaving them more room to play, and me more sane.
Mine would actually have to be my junk drawer!
We have a small "laptop" desk area that kept piling high of papers to file/shred/recycle...and a whole lot of other junk that drove me up the wall! This was my solution....
This is my CD/DVD organizer. I hated scratched CD/DVD's. I hated the mess of cleaning up opened DVD's all over the floor. I also did not like how much space these objects were taking up in my house. So I solved my problem.
I just organized my refrigerator and pantry!
I have an obsession with organizing Rexy's orange bookcase every evening:

Well this is the toys, art and whatever closet! It piles up! http://greenandcleanmom.org/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/100_5473.jpg
It's surprising, but my most organized space right now is Abby's toy shelf! I love this new ClosetMaid Storage Cubby, and the fabric bins are so perfect for a toddler... She always wants to climb in everything, and used to break all of the baskets and boxes that I'd buy to store toys. But these flexible bins are the perfect little box for her to climb in and play with. Plus they help to keep the clutter out of site!
