Oatmeal. Steel cut oats taste so good when they are cooked in a slow cooker for about 4 hours. I add in mashed bananas and walnuts to the basic 2 cups steel cut oats and 8 cups water. So good!

We are very fond of slowcooking ribs, either bone in or country style, doesn't much matter. I like using low sugar jams and vegetables for the sauce base and often we'll add extra mushrooms or such to roast in the last hour. One of my boy's favorites is a Cherry Asian Rib where we used low sugar cherry jam, five spice, hoisin sauce and soy to get a nice asian flavor on the rib, then served it with brown rice and steamed cabbage. Yummmy...

I just love classic beef stew because it's so easy. I rarely make it exactly the same way, but the basics are stew meat, potatoes, carrots, and onions in a vegetable broth base. I throw everything in the pot in the morning, set it on low, and I can enjoy the smells all day!

I'm always challenged to use up what my husband has brought home during hunting season. One of my favorite things to make is venison stew in the crock pot. It's so easy to do and it's a great way to use up extra veggies and potatoes, too.

We like Happy Family Cacciatore. A crock pot filled with chicken, meatballs, and sausage to be served over rice or pasta, or even served up with rolls with mozzarella cheese- think Meatball or Sausage Subs! Serve with a large salad and fresh fruit and everyone is happy.

I am a HUGE fan of the loaded potato soup recipe for my crock pot. It tastes amazing and it is super easy to make. You can tailor the toppers according to your own family's favorites. It is one of my favorites for those chilly Fall and Winter evenings.

Barbeque Pork Sandwiches are a favorite! You can cook and shred a huge pork shoulder and freeze some of the meat for later. I pull it out and use it in tacos, on sandwiches or even on top of salads.

Mexican Chicken. Fast prep? Yes. Easy? Oh, yes.
Boneless skinless chicken, a can of tomato sauce, a can of diced green chilies, onion powder, garlic powder, chili powder (my kids like it mild) and just a touch of brown sugar for sweetness. No need to stir it up; just dump, dump, dump the ingredients into a crock pot on low for 10-12 hours and the chicken will shred easily with a quick stir. Serve on warm tortillas and all of your favorite toppings.... chopped onion, tomato, sour cream, shredded cheese, avacados, etc.

We cook with our slow cooker all the time, and one of our favorite recipes is baked beans with four kinds of beans, bacon, and ground beef. It's flavored with onion, Dijon mustard, salsa, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar, and my family loves it.

My family loves this recipe for Sweet and Spicy Crockpot Chicken! You can adjust the heat by choosing mild, medium or hot salsa. It is great over rice or shredded in tacos. It's so easy and kid-friendly.

Love this easy recipe--put 4 chicken breasts, 1 cup of salsa, one can of black beans and 8 oz. of corn in a slow cooker. Cook on low for 8 hours. Shred the chicken and return to crockpot and stir. Serve over rice or on a tortilla.
