I'm a lover of cookies and cake. It didn't happen until post-pregnancy and then I wanted to gobble up every sweet treat I found in sight. But I had to quickly learn to curb my cravings—especially post-quadruplets!—so I often have just one mini York peppermint pattie with a small glass of wine in the evenings. It's my crutch. I also recently discovered sea salt caramel gelato by Dreyer's.


my guilty pleasure is chocolate!! whenever I feel nervous or deppessed I eat chocolate.

Pretzels dipped in Nutella and peanut butter!

I can half convince myself that this is kinda healthy because it's made with a whole banana but where Granny Molly’s Easy-Peezy Banana Squeezy cake gets me is that I just can't stop at one!!

Super quick & easy to make,I have half an eye to the fruit bowl and if a banana starts to turn black that's it we start baking!!
To make them..
4 oz unsalted butter
4 oz dark brown sugar
4 oz self raising flour
2 eggs, beaten
half to a whole banana (depends on size!), mashed
a big handful of raisins - or not if you’re fussy!
buttered and greaseproof-lined loaf tin
1. Cream the butter and sugar together
2. Add beaten eggs
3. Beat furiously with a wooden spoon the old-fashioned way!, for 3-4 minutes
4. Carefully add mashed banana + raisins.
5. Fold in flour.
6. It’s now a gloopy unpromising-looking batter. Don’t panic!
7. Bake at 180C for 20-30 mins until risen, golden and springy – a skewer will come out clean.
Et voila! Delicious. It’s somewhere between a cake and a pudding – cos of the squeezy banana.
We scoffed it down with custard, warm from the oven
