What's your go-to meal for a romantic dinner at home, after the kids are asleep?

Wow! You guys are amazing!! Reading these answers puts me to shame. After my kids are put, or wrestled rather, to sleep, the only thing my husband and I have the energy to do is.....drink. Wine and cheese is our go to. Its easy, and romantic with the lights dim watching a movie (or being honest, The Bachelor, American Idol, football) and transitions great to the next part of the night...
If my husband requests steak, I make a Spinach & Steak Salad with Orange Vinaigrette & pop open a btl of red wine - http://www.idontgotothegym.com/2013/03/steak-spinach-salad-with-orange.html
Crab cakes are also a go-to date night recipe of mine! - http://www.idontgotothegym.com/2012/12/the-perfect-crab-cake.html
Take-out! :-) No cooking, no mess to clean-up, and no baby-sitter required!
Who is thinking about a meal if there's time for romance after the kids go to bed? ;)
We both love Thai-style curries and the spices make you feel great! We throw in a lot of veggies and add extra kaffir leaf, hold the fish sauce (ewww...).
Spinach linguine pasta with Lupini beans and grilled portabella mushrooms. Topped with marinara sauce and nutritional yeast!

When our kids were little, our favorite romantic dinner was Flounder Meunière. While it sounds fancy and complicated, it is actually quite easy. The result is an elegant, fresh dish. Add a simple, delicious salad and a crisp bottle of white wine and you are all set for some enjoyable alone time!

Linguine with lump crab meat and asparagus paired with a crisp New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. It take about 15minutes to make - Gourmet fast food!

A simple roast chicken and a green salad with a citrus vinaigrette followed by dark chocolate pots de creme. Each dish requires very little work, but is delicious and smells fantastic. Perfect for putting you in the mood for romance.

Fish! It's something we both love and the kids dislike, so it's perfect to make for a romantic dinner along with a bottle of white wine. Since I don't want to be stuck working over a hot stove with a lot of cleanup, grilling the fish is the easiest.

Mediterranean Feta & Shrimp Pasta is one of my husband's favorite dinners. Although my kids love it too, it's a nice romantic dinner for my husband and I and ready in no time!

I'm married to an Italian so our go-to meal is always Italian! My hubby whips up a mean lasagna that I have dubbed "Lasagna Pontilicious". The twist on this old-time favorite is the addition of cheddar cheese, which gives it a nice bite. Perfect with a glass of wine and roses!

I dont know about 'romantic meal' but me and my OH both enjoy lasagne, chips, garlic bread and abit of side salad. Its my favourite so its always nice to enjoy it with no little hands reaching into it ;) walkingtalkingpollypocket.blogspot.com - the little lady with a baby!
