I just waned to add that my kids were very healthy looking boys and the doctors always told us to continue doing what we were doing. But I can not help but wonder if we would have started giving them baby food earlier if they would now be more willing to eat different foods.

We did not start on baby food until around 11 months but that was because we were almost done breast feeding. Im not sure if this has helped them when it comes to eating because they are both very picky eaters. This is one of the things that I would change.. I would start a little bit earlier.

We started cereal at around 4 1/2mo and food at 5mo bc he was drinking/nursing 25 oz of milk a day.

We started our son on cereal at 4 months and then Gerber's baby food, stage one, at 5 months. It is important to start out with rice cereal, it helps prevent allergies. Good luck!

At four months we introduced rice cereal. At five months we started stage 1 purees, and at six months we started stage 2 purees. He is now 7 1/2 months and I just started to feed him small pieces of cheerios.
