My son who is 2-1/2 has an egg allergy. We just found out about 4 months ago. It's gotten easier but it seems like he is constantly eating the same foods. Can anyone that has the same problem suggest any foods that your kids eat. How about recipes as well. We do eggless pancakes and waffles but that's about it.

Just make sure you read the ingredient list before using it! We can't use the Energ-y Egg Replacer because my DD is allergic to it!

Try using Energ-y Egg replacer (sold in a yellow box in most health food stores and even some standard stores). I find it works very well for baking.

Google Post Punk Kitchen. They have awesome vegan recipe. I have made so many and get excellent results, plus compliements from those without food allergies on how good they are.

livingwithout.com is amazing!!! This egg replacer method works great for most baked goods 1 heaping tablespoon baking powder, 1 tablespoon cider vinegar, 1 tablespoon warm water. Good luck!

Use Vegan recipes. They do not use eggs! Also, introduce hummus and avocado to your son. My DD loves them, especially guacomole!

The Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network, ( foodallergy.org ) has quite a few substitutes for cooking without eggs, they usually have a couple of recipes, but not many, I think you have to join for the real recipe boards, but the substitute list is available to anyone.

A good egg substitute is 3 tbsp unsweetened applesauce + 1 tsp baking powder. That's equivalent to 1 egg. I got that from a magazine called Living Without targeted for people with food allergies and special dietary needs. Hope this helps!

Have you seen a pedi dietican? Most insurances cover it. My son was allergic to milk and wheat and they helped me greatly.
