I would like to raise a vegan baby, and if possible.. a raw baby. (I'm a raw vegan!)
SO.. here's the thing I'm worried about and need some opinions on. My son's grandpa is allergic to "mixed" nuts, and his cousin had an allergy to tomatoes (supposedly she grew out of it) but recently had convulsions due to something she ate (which they dont know what is was..)

Do you think I should delay introducing nuts to my son? I'm SO scared of allergic reactions because recently he has had red spots on his face when he ate things like cottage cheese, although I'm not planning on feeding him that again.. and I don't think it's connected to nuts..

Maybe I'm just being a worried mom but let me know what you think.

I would wait until your son is 2 or older, but if you can ask a doctor, they will help you decide too. I waited until my daughter was1 and a half before offering any type of nuts, not because we have food allergies (none that were aware of) but because I couldn't decipher between fact and opinion. Her pediatrician told me that I can offer her nut products after 1 year if there are no allergies to them in the family. She doesn't like them so she wont eat them (namely peanut butter). Does he drink cow's milk? Because cottage cheese is made with cow's milk and if he isn't used to it, it may cause a reaction. As for tomatoes, I have heard people being allergic to them but a lot of allergies you do grow out of. In my case with apples, I grew into it. Try foods slowly and if you notice a reaction, don't feed it again. Since he is over 1, you may just be able to go to an allergist (a doctor who does allergy tests). Good luck!
