I have twin boys.. Have revcently split from their father as he has put me into hospital through domestic violence. The kids never saw it till the last attack when he went for me with one of our sons in my arms.. now i have a non molestation order in place to he cant come to the house etc. I have started divorce proceedings am reluctant to let him see them unless its in a contact centre or supervised at the boys godmothers.. anyways tahts a bit of background.. Now i have the job of trying to teach the boys that hitting, biting, pinching shouting and swearing is not appropreate behaviour. I have tried the time out thing, from leaving them sat infront of the dishwasher alone, to me sitting with whoever has misbehaved but completely ignoring them. Tried rewards fromn the fairys (dont ask...lol) Have involved both playgroups with everything... but im running out of ideas to get them to settle better at night and to not keep taking things out on each other.
Flynn gets frustrated cause his speach is behind but i have a review appointment with the speach therapist!
Im doing everything i can and the health visitor and child welfare are happy with my care for the boys.. just i suppose as a mum.. you want to do what the kids need and i strive to make them happy in their heart. help me? xx
