Every year we go on a 12 hour drive to Texas and I have a 5 yr old and a 2 1/2 yr old...we usually bring fruit snacks, gold fish, grapes and sippy cups. we of course stop for big meals as breakfast, lunch and dinner. We also try to avoid allowing a lot drinks cause then we need to make more pit stops along the way. Hope this helps. Happy holidays!

pack some juice boxes, cheese spread sandwiches, banana... apple carrot or celery sticks... some cookies... little crackers or muffins and all and they will be well off with that..... put on some music while on the road whichever they like... will keep them occupied take some toys for the car also... Hope it helps we have one 2 years old and one 7 years old and we do that a lot of time... keep them busy is what helps.

It's only 3 hours, we make a four hour trip quite a lot with my 5 year old and 19 month old. We usually plan it around nap time to limit the awake time and the unpleasantness for our 19 month old. As far as snacks go we bring string cheese, gold fish crackers or pretzels and a sippy cup. Each of the kids is fed before we leave and we usually only stop once because it's such an ordeal. Good luck.

Wow hard. You are going to have something to clean up no matter what. I had a 2 day drive of 22 hours and apples were great. I made fruit snacks. Pop corn was good. My kids are 2 and 4. The Dvd player was great. I also liked the aqua doodle they had a good time with those. I would sit with your little one if that is possible.
