anybody out there with a diet that works need to loose weight after the birth of my baby girl in December.

It all depends on how motivated you are.  Dont think diet think (change yr life style)



If you think about a diet you give up, but if you change the way you think and the way you plan yr meals is changing yr life style.  So the day before decide what you are going to prepare and what you think is health and what is easiest to make and decide wheather yr decision is correct or not.  Example ( bread with jam, cup of coffee with a cookie and an apple) or (green salad with 3 slices of ham and a portion cheese, with tea)  and you will have yr answer....  By making the salad, ham and cheese will be just as quick as making the bread.



But dont forget to add a bit of everything because as soon as you cut sugar out of yr lifestyle you tend to crave it and you pick up the weight you have lost......

I don't eat wheat. It is a little extreme but you will drop 5 kg with out doing anything. I haven't eaten wheat for 3 years now and I did not gain any weight other than baby during my pregnancy and I ate like a horse! I also dropped back to my pre baby weight by 2 months and I ate what I wanted. I had a poor metabolism and only had to look at food to put on weight before I went off wheat but now I eat what I want within reason. The other thing that has made a big difference is I rarely drink as there is empty calories in booze and it make me too tired looking after a baby after a wine or 2.

Make sure to eat breakfast in the morning!  Eat good foods (not junk food, and avoid fast food).  Only eat when you are hungry.  (A lot of us tend to eat when stressed  lol)  Make sure to drink a glass of water before every meal, and eat only until you aren't hungry anymore, not until you are full.  Drink plenty of water through the day....no sodas or juice.  Stop eating at 6 p.m. every evening, no snacks or anything but water after this.  I lost 20 lbs. over 3 months without having to go buy diet food.  Hope this helps!   I also walk in the morning with a few friends.

My husband and I went on the HCG diet. You have the option of doing it for 26 or 43 days. I lost 26 # in 43 days and he lost 50#. I am 12 # pre-pregnancy weight. I was really skeptical too, but I have a lot of friends who have successfully done this and kept it off. I haven't gained a lb and I have been done for 3 months. If you want to know more, you can go to myfatcure.com or just google Pounds and Inches, HCG. It is a supplement you take and you follow a very restrictive diet. You HAVE to read the book and it sounds scary at first, believe me. It is best to do it with your husband or a support person, so you can work together to stay the course. There are tons of recipies online too, since the diet is so restrictive. This diet is done in a clinic type setting and has been working since the 70s, but it is expensive that way. It is honestly not that hard, but you do need to follow instructions carefully.
Lots of people are very opinionated about this diet, but it works and I am back to eating normally with way less weight to restrict me. Now I just run and do DVDs to tone up!

I don't drink soda or tea. I stick with water and soy milk. I don't eat much red meat, and stear clear of sugar and processed foods. Don't do a fad diet, just make good decisions and use portion control. Eat veggies and fruits and drink water. If it's processed and artificial, skip it.



Fad diets are easy to go on and off and make you feel hungry and frustrated. Making a decision to change your lifestyle and approach to what goes in your body is the best way.

I had a co-worker that did the diet for her blood type. She changed her life. in the beginning, she did not workout and still lost. Now, after 2 years of sticking to the change of habits, she is starting to workout with yoga, walking and she is SO skinny! She kept telling me that if I stuck to it that my body would change the way it is supposed too. Your body will adjust to the natural weight or look it is supposed to. I have yet to completely change my lifestyle...it is so hard when you have kids. I have 3 boys my youngest is 10 months old...I have neglected my body for years. I agree with other posts..it is a lifestyle change, not a diet. You have to decide for yourself how you are going to change.

Yeah, I wish I had that solution too. Weight Watchers everyone keeps telling me once you find out let me know... I still haven't lost my weight and I have 7 and 8 year old.

I just started Weight Watchers.  My first week I lost 7.6 lbs.  One lady at my work has lost almost 100 lbs. on Weight Watchers.  Don't give up!  Walking or Wii Fit help too:-)

Try to aviod diet pills. I tried quite a bit & none of them worked. In fact I tried HydroxyCut & gained 4 lbs. Just make sure you eat right & exercise!!! It may take time, but it's the smart way to lose the weight.

i've joined Weight Watchers and is working great so far. I have lost 38lbs since my daughter in Oct. It's not a quick gimmick diet. It's the healthy way and it helps you really think about food differently. I  like that nothing is really off limits. It lets you still live a little.

Here's what I have started doing:
Breakfast ideas-
*hard boiled egg, 1/4 cup yogurt, 2 small bran muffins or toast
*peanut butter toast and fruit/yogurt
*oatmeal with crushed almonds and fruit

Lunch ideas-
fruit and veggies
salad
soup

Snacks-
*I eat an apple with 4 slices of cheese and some wheat crackers

Dinner-
Anything sensible with protein and some carbs

Exercise- WALKING! and stretching. I just joined a class for mom and baby workouts.

Have fun! I JUST started wearing non pregnancy jeans. Also, drink LOTS of water!

What I am doing is working well.

I'm eating 2 cups of fruit and 3 cups of veggies every day, that plus 6 ounces whole grains, 6 ounces protein, and 3 cups of low fat milk foods.

Oh, plus I'm walking 2 miles a day.

Good choices, even small good choices, add up over time.
