i just recently started brining all the pork i eat and it is the most amazing thing. i always find that pork chops can come out dry and brining them makes them so juicy and delicious. you need
1/2 cup salt ( sounds like way too much salt but the pork will not come out salty as long as you rinse them and dont add any more salt during the cooking process)
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tsp thyme
2 tsp fresh ground black pepper
8 cups water

put all ingredients in 1 gallon freezer bag and shake a little bit to help dissolve salt and sugar then add pork. seal and place bag in a bowl or some container and throw in the fridge for no longer than 3 hours. then take them out and rinse them to get off all the excess salt. then i preheat the oven to 350 get out a baking sheet and put that in the oven to get hot. and get out a skillet with some olive oil and heat that up so it gets nice and hot and then add the pork. i seer it for about 3-4 minutes per side so they get nice and browned and the take them out and put on the baking sheet in the oven and let cook for about 15 minutes. they are great just like that but sometimes ill caramelize some onions and put them on top of the pork chops when they are done. or serve with some applesauce.

My favorite way to cook porkchops is to brown them in a little oil and then cook them at a simmer (in an electric skillet or wok works well, though you could probably do it on the stove too) in cream of mushroom soup. The cream of mushroom soup I use is condensed, so I add milk to make it the actual SOUP, not the condensed soup. The soup should be covering the meat. Cover it and cook it for 2-3 HOURS at a really low simmer. The soup basically turns into a mushroom gravy and the pork chops can be cut with a fork and absolutely melt in your mouth. You can serve with either rice or noodles and a veggie :).

Spice packets are awesome, I usually keep around Onion soup mix, Italian Seasoning mix, and sometimes Ranch mix... they go great with about any meat and add a ton of flavor. Not sure if you've tried grilling pork chops but those are awesome too.

We love garlic and italian seasonings also. I've also seen people use soy sauce on meats, I've only done it a few times, I've used it on steaks and pork chops, it was pretty good... and not really the strong flavor of soy sauce i was expecting, but it was still a really bold flavor.

Pork Chops! This recipe makes the meat so tender and soft.
Put pork chops in a caserole dish or something to go in the oven, in a single layer. Sprinkle over brown sugar (about 1 tablespoon per chop) and cover with milk. The milk should only just barely cover the meat. Cook in oven on medium or low heat until pork is cooked through. This works best on a low oven for a long time but is still great in a medium oven.
You take the chops out of the liquid to serve, but you can spoon a little bit over them if you like it (have some on a spoon to taste it, its yummy!)
I also add sliced raw onions and potatoes to the bottom of the dish and cook those in the milk and sugar too. Or just cook the chops and serve with mashed potato and greens.

i make brown sugar pork chops.
preheat oven to 350 degrees
take flour, lawry's seasoning and any other seasonings you like, mix in a gallon size ziploc baggie,
put a pork chop in, mix it up, place on greased cookie sheet.
continue with all chops.
bake in oven for 35-40 minutes, flip half way through.
when browned, take out, place a pat of butter on each one, and sprinkle brown sugar over them.
bake for an additional 5 minutes until butter and brown sugar are melted.
take out and serve.
i usually try to serve with aug ratin or scalloped potates. they go best at my house.

good luck. i have seen a lot of good recipes on here.

buy some shake and bake or pork and chick they have alot of different flavors. what i do befor i coat the meat i dip it in milk then put it in the shake and bake bag with the seasoning packet and then bake in the oven at 350 degrees. i also take thick porkchops and cover them with spaghetti sauce and cook them at about 325 to 350 for about an hour our so or even better cook them in a crock pot with the sauce all day on low. you can get two different meals out of it. the pork chops come out tender and tasty and you can use the spaghetti sauce for your pasta as well. hope you try these and i hope you like them.

Chicken Dorrito Casserole
1 lb. chicken. cooked and cut into 1 inch pieces
1 can diced rotel tomatoes
1 can cream of cheese
2 cans cream of chicken
1 bag nacho cheese flavored dorritos

pull about to hand fulls of dorritos to the side, then crunch the rest of them up and pour them into a 9x13 casserole dish. Mix in cream of chicken, cream of cheese, and cut up chicken. Drain the canned tomatoes and add them in. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees and cook for 20min. Layer the whole dorritos on top and heat for an additional 3 min. hi,

you can try to cook chicken by adding garlic, onion, pepper, vinegar and soy sauce..you can mix them altogether or you can saute the garlic, onion and chicken first before adding vinegar and soy sauce..to add some spice, you can add a little black pepper and you also have the option to add little sugar to taste a little sweeter..it's a filipino cuisine..

Hi Desha our favourite chicken at the moment is pesto chicken.
chop chicken into bitesize pieces and cook in olive oil or use chicken thieghs if kids are older.
when chicken is cooked through at a good sized dollop of pesto and creme fraiche warm through and add some cherry tomatoes warm through till they are just about to pop and serve with rice .
Its so easy and you can add as little or as much pesto as you like, we also occasionally add mushrooms .

We like to have Italian Chicken. If you have a crock pot, what you do is put the chicken in crock pot use dry Italian dressing sprinkle over chicken add 1 cup of water and you are done. Turn on low for 8-10 hours. My children love it. Now the pork chops we will put them in the crock pot and use a bottle of BBQ sauce and dump over them. On low for 8-10 hours. I hope this helps. I forgot to tell you what kind of chicken we use. We use boneless, skinless chicken breast.

Hi Desha...how are you. I have tons of recipes and right now the BIG one at my house is the Mexican Chicken Lasagna.

Below is what you need:
1/4 cup of cilantro
1 pkg (80z) cream cheese
2 cups (8 oz) shredded Monterey
Jack cheese, divided
1 medium onion (about 2/3 cup chopped)
1 can (28 oz) enchilada sauce
12 (6-in.) corn tortillas (yellow)
3 cups diced or shredded cooked chicken

Preparation is as follows:

1. Chop cilantro with Chef’s Knife. Place cream cheese in Classic Batter Bowl. Microwave on HIGH 30-45 seconds or until very soft. Add cilantro and 1½ cups of the Monterey Jack cheese; mix well using Small Mix ‘N Scraper®. Chop onion using Food Chopper; set aside. Spread 2/3 cup of the enchilada sauce over bottom of Deep Covered Baker. Pour remaining enchilada sauce into Stainless (4-qt.) Mixing Bowl; set aside.
2. To assemble lasagna, using Sauté Tongs, dip four tortillas into enchilada sauce in mixing bowl and arrange over sauce in baker, overlapping as necessary. Scoop half of the cream cheese mixture over tortillas using Small Scoop; spread using Small Spreader. Top with 1 cup of the chicken and one-third of the onion. Repeat layers one time. Dip remaining four tortillas into sauce and arrange over second layer. Top with remaining chicken and onion. Pour remaining enchilada sauce over lasagna and sprinkle
with remaining ½ cup Monterey Jack cheese.
3. Microwave, covered, on HIGH 12-15 minutes or until center is hot. Let stand 10 minutes. Sprinkle with additional chopped cilantro. Cut into squares using Utility Knife; serve using Mini-Serving Spatula OR you also have the choice of putting it in the oven.

Let me know what you think and if you'd like more recipes.

I don't know if anyone said country fried pork chops with white gravy

cup vegetable oil for frying 1/2 cup all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt, or to taste salt and pepper to taste 4 (3/4 inch) thick pork chops.. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Combine flour, seasoning salt, salt and pepper . to the pork chops..( and I use eggs and salt and pepper before I coat in flour)
When the oil is nice and hot, shake off excess flour from pork chops, and fry in the hot oil. Cook on each side for about 4 to 5 minutes, or until golden on the outside,

This is good! Mix bbq sauce with Italian dressing in bowl and set aside. In frying pan poor vegetable oil in and saute onion and garlic for about 5 minutes, then you take 4 to 6 boneless pork chops and sear until white on each side, then you poor bbq sauce mixture on top. Turn pork chops over so they are all covered in the sauce and cook for about 15 min more. It's a twist to bbq chicken.

1 tbls oil

1 small onion chopped in small pieces

1 tbls minced garlic

1/4 bbq sauce (of your choice)

1/2 Robust Italian dressing

Have you tried the French's Crunchy Onion Chicken? I made it this week and it's very easy and very good! Just crush up the french fried onions in a big ziploc, dip the chicken breasts or tenders in beaten egg, put in the bag, shake it up, put in a baking dish & spritz spray butter on top and bake at 400 for 20 -30 minutes.
I have also put orange marmalade mixed with a little soy sauce on chicken breasts & it's good too! ~Sharon

Hello,

Here a quick and very easy chicken recipe. All that you need is 1 whole chicken or whatever parts of the chicken you would like to use. You will also need a slow cooker and 1 med. size jar of pace picante sause. All you do is put the chicken in the slow cooker (seasoning it if you would like to) pour the whole jar on the chicken then just set it on high for about 4-5 hours or low for 7-8 hours. You can either serve over rice or any type of noodles that ya'll love.

Perfect Pork Chops

Ingredients: pork chops, pepper, onion, brown sugar, ketchup, lemon juice

Prep: Cut a few slices of onion and set aside. Mix approximately 1/4 cup ketchup and 1 tablespoon lemon juice per pork chop.

Heat a little olive oil in a pan and place pork chops in pan. Sprinkle with pepper. Brown one side of pork chops 2-3 minutes. Flip, sprinkle with pepper and place one slice of onion on each pork chop. Cover each pork chop with about 2 tablespoons of brown sugar and top with ketchup mixture. Pour enough water in the pan to cover bottom of pan. Cover and reduce heat to simmer. Continue cooking 20-30 minutes.

Last night we had boneless, skinkess chicken breast which I marinated in vadilia onion vinagrette for 24 hours then grilled. Not only were they tasty, but very tender from the vinagerette. My husband who is not a chichen eater & very rarely tells me chicken is good told me I could fix them again. As for pork, I usually fry chops or use a coating like shake N bake or make my own

My family loves porkchops cooked this way and it is very easy. First I flour and brown the chops in a small amount of your favorite oil. Salt, pepper and sprinkle your favorite meat tenderizer on them. Flip when browned and brown opposite side. Drain any excess oil. Then depending on how many chops I have (about 4), I add 1 can of Cream of Mushroom soup, and 1 can of milk to that can and stir into the pan with the chops.. If your family likes mushrooms, you can add fresh sliced mushrooms also. (it's delicious if you like mushrooms). Cover your pan and place it in the oven at 350 degrees for about 1/2 to 1 hour. It just depends on how many chops you have. If you use 2 cans of Cream of Mushroom Soup and 2 cans of milk, you will have more gravy and can cook for longer, which makes them very tender. We usually have mashed potatoes and corn with them and use the extra gravy for the chops and the mashed potatoes. Even my grandkids love this and it's so easy!

Brown your porkchops in a skillet, put them in a deep pan, like a cake pan. Peel potatoes, and them slice in half length wise, and lay in pan also. Mix together 2 pkgs of Brown Gravy Mix per directions, pour over your chops and potatoes, cover in foil, cook in a 375 oven for 35 mins. I always guess at this so check them. They are done when chops are tender and you can stick your fork through potatoes. With this recipe you get a whole meal. Meat, potatoe and gravy. Hope you enjoy.

A good way to make them that is really good with lots of flavor is to just marinate them in Italian or one of the Vinigrette salad dressings. I use the one with olive oil and feta cheese in it alot. Leave them in the marinade and then just stick them in the oven. It is simple, quick, easy and has lots of flavor. It works well with chicken also. Oh with chicken, try baking it with ranch dressing.

Our favorite chicken recipe is Garlic Egg Chicken. You put all the chicken in a ziplock bag, beat a few eggs together(one per every two pieces of chicken, we cut breasts in half) and put some minced garlic in the eggs, I use about a Tbsp. per every two eggs. I buy the canned, minced and chopped garlic. It's in a glass jar. Pour the egg mixture into the bag and shake to coat. Refrigerate a couple hours or overnight is better.
Roll in crushed crackers then palce in a dish and bake with a little melted butter at the bottom at 400 degrees, 10 minutes each side, I cover with tin foil. It's SO good! We have it with rice a lot or a big salad and some bread!

For pork chops, we tenderize the chops and coat them in basil and lemon pepper. Heat oil in a pan on medium high until it's hot, sear both sides then lower the heat and cover. Check after about ten minutes. We have this with chicken rice, noodle sides or potatoes and salad!

If you google "chicken recipes," you get a million results, that's how I found the Garlic Egg Chicken recipe and we love it! Sometimes there are even reviews, which is helpful! I think I typed in Breaded Chicken Recipes...

Remember! Anything you can do with chicken, odds are you can do the same with pork. I like to make oriental a lot for my family. Take pork or chicken, OR BEEF, take a little sesame oil, a little goes a long way. Then saute your meat. Add in garlic, onions (preferrably green) veggies off all sorts, soy sauce to taste. Once all is cooked, add a little cornstarch and water for a thin light gravy. Serve over rice. Talk about a great way to get your family to eat just about anything, and be healthy. For something really interesting, add peanut butter to the mix, about a tablespoon, and just use peas and carrots for vegies. Add ginger and curry and you have a thai option. It is really yummy.

Hi Desha,

I have a chicken recipe for you. You can do it in the oven. Take either legs or thighs not breast because it will be do dry and take the skin off. Season with lemon, garlic powder, salt, pepper, parsley and olive oil. cover with aluminum foil until almost completed cooked. Last five minutes take off the foil and let brown. you can add some white wine or beer for flavour as well. It should have a nice crispiness to it. Serve right away.
I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!!
Easy to prepare takes only about a half hour on 200°C and it's really tasty. My kids love it!!
Take care
:) Adriana
