Hi everyone! My name is Laura and I'm new. I have a 5 year old and a 6 month old. My 6 month old would really like to eat table food. Does anyone out there make their own baby food....the store kind is going to break me! I appreciate any tips or ideas! Thanks so much!

Thanks, Rebecca! I think I will start trying to do that...how do you thaw the food, on the countertop or in the microwave? Thanks again!

Oh Laura, it's so wonderfully easy-you won't have a bit of trouble! It's basically something you can make up as you go along. Start with veggies. Take carrots for example: microwave steam them until soft, puree them in blender or food processor & spoon into ice cube trays. Freeze. Once frozen, pop into freezer bags & whenever you need them, there they are already in perfect baby-portions! & all-natural! I've done it with spinach, cauliflower, peas, carrots, broccoli, beans, beets, potatoes, you name it! Then, when baby has mastered veggies, move on to fruit. Cooked, non-salted or heavily spiced food also is great in the food processor, depending on how soon you want to start baby on what.
