You will need...

2 tbsp. melted butter or margarine

1 small jar of marachino cherries

1 oz. container of Cool Whip, Thawed

Crush all graham crackers finely. Stir in melted butter with a fork. Spread graham cracker mixture into a 9"x13" rectangular tupperware container. Using electric mixer, blend cream cheese and powdered sugar until completely smooth. Spread over graham cracker crumbs in rectangular container. Thinly slice one banana and cover cream cheese mixture making one layer of bananas. Spread crushed pineapple evenly over the banana layer. Top with Cool Whip. Slice marachino cherries into halves. Place each half (flat side down) onto the Cool Whip topping. Sprinkle with chopped peanuts, if desired.

Refridgerate for minimum of 4 hours. Serve and enjoy. (Remainder of dessert MUST be refridgerated upon completion of serving dessert. (The Banana Split Cake will "melt" quickly.

This has been my favorite for many years! After marrying, my husband made an addition; as you serve pieces drizzle some chocolate syrup on top.
