I am looking for any ideas on a bithday cake/cupcakes for an Olympic Birthday Theme for a 7year old girl. I don't want a girly cake, we are inviting boys to the party also.

Thanks,

Kristine

I made an Olympic cake once. It wasnt for a birthday party though, so not sure if this will help. I just made a regular square cake and used nonstops (equivalent of plain M&M's) to make the Olympic rings. I also made a pizza for the same party and used the pepperoni for the rings. To get more color (if kids will eat them or not) you could use bell peppers, black olives, and what ever you would want to form the circle of the rings. Have fun at the party:-)

You could make cupcakes with different colors of frosting, to represent the olymic rings (blue, black, red, yellow & green) and arrange them on a table to look like the rings. http://www.olympic.org/en/ has plenty of pictures of the olympic rings to refer to.
