Any suggestions on home made birthday cakes for my daughter's 2 year birthday party? I wanted to make it myself but I still wanted it to be fun.

Go to http://www.wilton.com/ for ideas. They have some great ideas, with step by step instructions. I made the brown teddy bear cake for my sons half birthday as a practice run, and it turned out really good, and I have never made/decorated a cake before :)
