Need a recipe to make butter cookie cutouts i dont have cream of tartar which is an ingredient was wondering if anyone had a recipe i could use without using that ingredient

You can do a search for "butter cookie recipes" on the internet. There are thousands to choose from that dont use cream of tartar.

1 cup butter or margarine, softened
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
Place the dough in a cookie press fitted with a plate (any shape you want) form cookies on ungreased baking sheets. Or roll into balls and press flat. Bake at 375 degrees F for 6-8 minutes or until set but not brown. Cool on wire racks.
Here's a frosting recipe if you want. Add whatever food color you want.
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
4 cups confectioners' sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 tablespoons milk
