1pkg white cake mix
1/2 can cherry pie filling
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease 2 9" round cake pans. On medium speed beat cake mix, pie filling and eggs together for 2 min. Add reamaining pie filling and beat for 1 min. Divide between pans. Bake for 30 min. Cool for 5 min, remove from pans, cool completely. Stir together 2 cans vanilla frosting and 1/4 tsp almond extract. Place one cake on plate, spread with one cup frosting Top with remaing layer, spread remaining frosting on top and sides of cake. Top with almond slivers and marachino cherries.
