I'm trying to use up stuff in my cupboard and freezer before going shopping to cut down the on shopping bill...

I have chicken pieces and normal store cupboard ingredients to use. I would like to make something tasty as I've got a friend coming for dinner and would really really love to just bung it all in the slow cooker.

Anybody got any ideas??

I'm a little late on this, but I like to cook skinless chicken (boneless if you've got it) in salsa, optional taco seasoning mix. Then shred the cooked chicken and serve with nachos or on tacos.

You could put the chicken in the crockpot with one of the condensed cream of...soups. Serve over noodles.

You could make BBQ chicken with a little spice if you have some chili powder. It's really good and you don't have to do much... Just put BBQ sauce in and then your chicken pieces, then put a little bit of chili powder in and a half cup of water... just let it simmer for a while and you'll be done... it's great as a snack or with veggies. :-)
