Crock Pot recipes?

I cut up pork steaks into pieces. Stew meat is way to high for me. Then add potatoes, carrots, celery. green beans, and then a can of diced tomatoes, cream of mushroom soup. Put on low the kids enjoy this.

Chicken legs or wings with 2 sliced red or yellow peppers and 1 large onion sliced. Cover with half pint of chicken stock and season with salt and pepper. Cook 4-6 hours and serve with rice and green beans.

Simple. Hassle free and it's all fresh and healthy!

BBQ Chicken - Chicken breasts (can be frozen) and about 2/3 jar of your favorite BBQ sauce. It will fall apart and shred up for sandwiches.

Chicken for enchiladas -
4 boneless skinless frozen chicken breasts
1 can chicken stock or broth
Water (if needed)
1 green pepper, medium dices
1 red pepper, medium dices
1 onion, medium dices
1 large can enchilada sauce (28 oz?)
1 package burrito-size tortillas
1 lb shredded cheddar, Mexican blend, co-jack, or other cheese

Put the chicken breasts in the pot with enough chicken stock or water to just cover them and cook until they are cooked through, about 6-8 hours on low. Remove chicken and discard the juices. Preheat the oven to 350. Saute the veggies in a large saute pan while you shred the chicken. Combine chicken with veggies and half of enchilada sauce, and warm the whole thing through (a few minutes). Hold tortilla in the palm of your hand, sprinkle on a bit of cheese, then add mixture into tortilla. Roll, placing seam side down into casserole dish. Cover tops of enchiladas with enchilada sauce and cheese. Bake for 30 minutes or so, until cheese is melted. It's admittedly the most putzy recipe for the crockpot I use, but it's so yummy I can't give it up.

Meatloaf - I know, weird, but it's the best way I know to cook the stuff. My husband doesn't even want it cooked in the oven anymore. It's moist but firm, and not too greasy.
2lbs ground beef, turkey, or whatever you like
3/4 cup oats (hidden fiber, baby!)
1 pouch onion soup mix
1 tbs Worcestershire sauce
1 egg
1/2 cup catsup, plus extra for the top.

Take two pieces of aluminum foil and criss-cross them in the bottom of your pot. That way you don't have to work so hard to clean it later. Let it cool and toss it out.

Mix all but the beef thoroughly in a large bowl, then add the meat, making sure that everything is evenly distributed. Form it into a loaf shape that will leave a bit of extra room from the sides of the pot, and put it in there. Use catsup on top to your liking. Cook on high 2-4 hours or low 6-8 hours. You can make the loaf the night before and turn on the pot in the morning when you leave and it turns out just fine.

I like to put a brisket in, cover with 1 can of whole berry cranberry sauce and 1 packet of onion soup mix. No water or anything else necessary. After cooking all day, it falls apart and has a yummy sauce. I have tried it with a rump roast to make it a bit cheaper. It worked ok, but the brisket was better.

I usually just bung things in and they have always worked out ok. Tomato based stews are good. My husband does one with beef and chorizo with sweet chilli sauce which is really good.

Have made rissotto and curries in it as well.

Nine Can Vegetable Soup
I have so many crock pot concoctions it's hard to choose just one! I picked the two that require the least prep because this is a busy time of year!
2 cans Hormel chili, any variety (I use 99% fat free, with beans and turkey)
1 can vegetable soup
1 can green beans
1 can sliced new potatoes
1 can mixed vegetables
1 can corn
2 cans diced tomatoes (for extra kick, use a can of tomatoes with green chiles in place of one can of diced tomatoes).

*Optional: 1lb ground meat (turkey, beef, or my personal favorite - Boca ground sausage or beef substitute: it's a soy based product)
Dump the entire contents of every can into the crockpot - liquid and all. *Brown turkey or beef and drain - no need to brown Boca products- and add to veggies in crockpot. Heat on low all day, or on high for less than 2 hours. I usually serve with grilled cheese sandwiches.

Crockpot Beef Stroganoff


This super-easy dish is so hearty, it'll fill your whole family. Just empty the cans in and forget about it until dinnertime.
Ingredients
Stew meat, cut into bite sized pieces (Brown meat if you want)
1 can Golden Mushroom soup
1 can French Onion Soup
1 can Cream of Mushroom soup
1 can, mushrooms, drained
Directions
Place desired amount of stew meat, cans of soup and mushrooms in the crock. Cook on low 6-8 hours, last hour add sour cream . Serve over rice or noodles. This is a real good recipe.
I have use hamburger (lean & cookbrown if you want),substituted cream soup, & low sodium versions of soup.

You can make asian spareribs
spareribs or boneless spare ribs
real maple syrup
soy sauce
garlic poweder
onion powder
add all ingredients and cook on low about 6 -8 hours or less if using boneless.
good over rice

I have two awesome Chicken and Rice recipes for the crockpot. Take a pound or two of boneless skinless chicken breast, can even be frozen, put in the crockpot with either of these sauces... 1) can of either cream of chicken and mushroom, cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup, 8 oz sour cream, and shredded cheese of your choice, double if using 2 pounds of chicken. OR 2) can of cream of mushroom soup, can of cream of chicken soup, a cup and a half of italian dressing, about an hour before you serve add 1 pkg of cream cheese cut up. Mix all the ingredients together. Let simmer all day on low or half day on high, the chicken starts to fall apart as you stir it. Serve over cooked rice. It's a favorite of my children!

I do baked potatoes in the crock pot some times. I put them in on low and just poke holes in them and by the end of the day when we're running around like headless chickens I don't have to wait for them to cook.

I also make chilli in it. I use the seven bean soup mix, a 3 alarm chilli kit and then ground turkey. It's good without the meat too. I just precook the meat and add in green onion, bell prpper, and zucchini chopped onto small poeces and at the end of the day toss in some corn bread and we enjoy it topped with cheese.

we had a crock pot dinner tonight and it was gorgeous! i put in diced beef, tin chopped tomatoes, onion, green pepper,mushrooms,carrots(whatever i had in the fridge really!) gravy and herbs- left it on for 7 hours and the meat just fell apart- had it with rice. The great thing is you can buy a cheap bit of meat but cos its cooked slowly over a long time it will be lovely and tender.

a rump roast, 1/2 can of cream of GOLDEN mushroom soup (Campbell's) and an envelope of onion soup mix, and a cup or 2 of water, cook all day, you can put potatoes, celery, onion or whatever you like in if you want, comes out tender. I thicken up the gravy with corn starch.

I put a whole chicken with sweet paprika, garlic powder, onions, lemon juice and slice up the lemon and put it as garnish in the pot. On top of chicken put olive oil, paprika, pinch of salt, pinch of pepper. then put lemon juice on top and a little bit of honey or some brown sugar (add a little bit of water in the pot so that it can cook and not burn). Then turn on the crock pot and it smells so good and the chicken will literally fall off the bone everytime. Good luck

I usually do a pulled pork recipe, but I just get a lawry seasoning packet and prepare it to the directions which is quick and easy. What I also do is, cube some pork and get a bottle of salsa verde, it can be in a can or a jar, I usually get the big plastic bottle and pour the entire bottle over the pork and let it cook on low all day. I usually serve it over white rice.

My girlfriend slices up a kielbasa and cabbage and in simmers it in (I think) water or some kind of broth and it is YUMMY!!

Another good receipe my mom makes (and we are Hoosiers so forgive the possible weirdness) is cutting up sausage (your choice) like kielbasa, diced (boiled) potatoes, and green beans, cover completely with water and letting it simmer all day... the sausage gives everything else flavor, just season with pepper to taste!

Thank you! The taco dip sounds delecious and I need to start putting creamed soups in my cooking. I've never been sure what kind should go with what meat though. I love making pork chops with tomato juice/soup and some potatoes with whatever other veggies I have that day.

I am the queen of quick and easy! Just this morning I put together nice dinner for my family! I just threw in some creamed soups (I used cream of chicken, celery and mushroom), several chicken breasts, 2 cans of milk and some frozen veggies that I had in the freezer. I have been smelling it for the last couple hours and it's making me HUNGRY!!!

We call it taco dip - very filling and fun for the kids - all your need are the dip and tortilla chips or shells.

In Crockpot put 1 reg can of petite diced tomatoes, 1 can rotel diced tomatoes with lime juice, 1 can rotel diced tomatoes with green chiles. Add in 1 package of low sodium taco seasoning. Simmer for about 30-45 minutes to cook tomatoes down. Use a hard/flat spatula to smash tomatoes down and stir. Then cook your pound or so of ground beef and dump into tomatoes. (I do this the night before and let sit over night in fridge)
The morning of your dinner put everything in your crockpot on low, right be fore you leave add as much cheese as you like..i love love cheese so we add usually a small bag stir evenly. Let cook 8 hours or so and when you come home Wa-La! You can spoon it out on plates and use tortillas chips or scoop it into burrito or taco shells, either way the meat is completely flavorful and delicious. Add sour cream or guacamole to your liking. Enjoy!
