I love to cook in my crock pot. My husbands favorite is a chicken dish I make. Take 6 boneless chicken breasts place in crock pot. place a slice of mozzarella cheese on top of each breast. Pour a can of cream of mushroom soup on top. Mix about half a stick of melted butter and stufing mix together pour on top. then place about half cup of water in pot. Cook on low for about 6-8 hours or on high for about 2 hours. Tastes like a turkey dinner. Very good!

Hi I absolutely love my crock pot. There is a website called www.savingdinner.com and they have cookbooks for everything. They are mostly meals that you prepare then freeze, then defrost then cook. Not reheating. They are fabulous.

Chili! its so good, has flavor but not too spicy.
youll need
chili powder
ground cumin
salt
pepper
can of tom. sauce
diced tomatoe - 3 cans
3-4 cans dark red kidney beans (strained and rinsed)
garlic powder, and salt (or subsitute those for real garlic and cook with ground beef)
onion powder
ground beef browned and drained.

cook ground beef in a frying pan on med-high heat until its brown, and then strain it in the strainer. add everything together in the crock pot and let it cook for 4 hrs on high. Its so good served with cornbread or french bread. you can top it with sour cream and cheese if you like those also.

Crockpot Mini Brewed Meatballs

Meatballs:

• 3 lbs. lean ground beef

• 1/2 cup finely chopped onion

• 1/2 cup fine dry bread crumbs (use seasoned bread crumbs if you like)

• 3 eggs

• 2 to 3 tablespoons cooking oil to fry meatballs

Sauce:

• 1 (12 ounce) can/bottle of good beer

• 1 (12 ounce) can/bottle spicy tomato juice

• 1 tsp. lemon juice

• 1 tsp. hot sauce

• 1 large bottle (12 ounces) of mild barbecue sauce (or you may substitute ketchup)

• 1 tsp. horseradish

• 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

• salt and pepper to taste

Make your meatballs: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef with onion, bread crumbs, and eggs. Use your hands to squish everything together until well mixed, but don’t handle too much or the meat tends to toughen up. Just make sure the ingredients are evenly distributed throughout the ground beef. Then, form the meat mixture into small meatballs, about the size of a golf ball is usually good.

Pour a bit of cooking oil in a large skillet, heat to medium, add the meatballs (don’t crowd the pan) and brown the meatballs all over. Set the browned meatballs on paper towels on a rack to absorb any extra grease.

Optional: You may choose to brown the meatballs in the oven. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees, put the meatballs on a baking sheet, and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, turning a couple times to brown all sides.

Make your sauce: In a large saucepan over medium low heat, whisk together all the sauce ingredients and simmer for about 10 to 15 minutes. Don’t let it come to a boil.

Assemble: Turn your crock pot on LOW. Put the meatballs in, then pour the hot sauce on top of the meatballs. Gently stir together, being careful not to break up the meatballs. Cover the crockpot and cook on LOW for about 3 hours. Stir occasionally, but be sure to be careful that you don’t break up the meatballs.

You can let this simmer slowly for quite a while so you can keep it hot on your buffet without worrying about overcooking. You’ll have around 65 to 70 meatballs with this recipe so you should have plenty for a crowd.

Crockpot Breakfast Supreme

Butter your crockpot or use crockpot liner. Use a big bowl and scramble 1doz eggs, add 1 medium onion, 2c.green pepper,2can’s mushrooms, 2c.cubed ham, bacon (lightly fried or however you like it)3T minced garlic 1c.milk 1 can of green beans (drain) 1/4 pd. of velveeta cubed up, 1/2 stick butter or margarine cut up,Pepper&Salt and/or seasoning salt. Blend all together lightly add to crockpot, set on low late in evening, ready in morning.

Crockpot Barbecue Meatballs

• 1 lb LEAN ground beef

• 2 Tbsp. onion flakes

• ¾ cup quick oatmeal

• salt and pepper to taste

• ½ cup milk

Mix all ingredients and form into balls the size of a quarter.

Sauce:

• 1 cup ketchup

• 2 Tbsp. vinegar

• 2 Tbsp. brown sugar

• 2 Tbsp. onion flakes

• ½ cup water

• 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

Mix all sauce ingredients well. Place meatballs in baking dish. Pour sauce over and bake at 350 for about 1 hour. Or, place raw meatballs in crockpot and mix sauce ingredients. Pour sauce over meatballs and cook 6-8 hours until done on low.

I love cooking in my crockpot. Here are 3 of my favorites (I love soups):

Zesty Beef & Vegetable Soup

1 pound ground beef

½ cup chopped onion

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 cups pre-shredded cole slaw mix

1- 10 oz package whole kernel corn

1- 9 oz package frozen green beans

3- 11 oz cans of V8 juice (spicy of you prefer)

1 can condensed tomato soup + 1 can water

1 14 ½ oz can Italian style stewed tomatoes

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon dried basil, crushed

½ teaspoon pepper

In large skillet cook ground beef, onion, and garlic till meat is brown and onion is tender. Drain off fat.

In a large crockpot combine meat mixture, coleslaw mix, frozen corn, frozen beans, V8 juice, undrained tomatoes, tomato soup + 1 can of water. Worcestershire sauce, basil and pepper.

Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 8-10 hours or on high heat setting for 4-5 hours. Makes 8 servings.

Sausage and Tortellini Soup

1 Hillshire Farm (or other brand) fully cooked turkey sausage, halved lengthwise and cut into ½ inch slices

2 cups pre-shredded coleslaw mix

1 cup loose-pack frozen cut green beans (I usually use the mixed veggies)

3- 14 ½ oz cans Italian-style stewed tomatoes

2 -10 ½ oz cans condensed French onion soup

4 cups water

1- 9 oz package refrigerated fresh cheese-filled tortellini

Grated parmesan cheese

In a 4 or 5 quart crockery cooker, place sausage, coleslaw mix, frozen veggies, undrained tomatoes, soup and water.

Cover, cook on low heat setting for 8-10 hours or on high heat setting for 4-5 hours

If using low-heat setting, turn to high-heat setting during last 15 minutes, stir in tortellini. Cover and cook for 10-15 minutes longer. Ladle soup into bowls. Sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese. Makes approximately 8 servings.

Wild Rice and Chicken Soup

2 10 ¾ oz can condensed cream of chicken (or cream of mushroom) soup

2 ½ cups chopped cooked chicken

2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms

1 cup coarsely shredded carrot

1 cup sliced celery

1 6-oz pkg long grain and wild rice mix (I use 2- 4.5 oz pkgs)

5 cups chicken broth

5 cups water

In a 5-6 quart crockery cooker combine soup, chicken, mushrooms, carrot, celery, rice and contents of rice seasoning packet. Gradually stir in broth and water.

Cover, cook on low-heat setting for 6 hours or on high-heat setting for 3 hours. Makes 8-10 servings.

Slow Cooker Philly Cheese Steak Sandwiches Recipe

Super easy - and melts in your mouth! I make this when we have to be somewhere else at dinner time.

Ingredients

1 1/2 lbs beef round steak

1 medium green pepper, sliced thin

1 medium onion, sliced thin

1 (14 oz) can vegetable broth (can use beef - I've even used chicken in a pinc h)

1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper

1 envelope Italian dressing mix

1 large loaf French bread, siced into sandwich lengths

6 slices provolone cheese

Directions

Spray crock pot with cooking spray

Cut meat into strips, place in slow cooker

Add green pepper, onion, broth, and dressing mix

Cover and cook on low 7-8 hours, or high 3-4 hours

Spoon meat mixture onto bread, top with a slice of cheese

Another option is to toast bread in a 375 oven for 5-10 minutes, add meat, cover with cheese, then bake an additional 5 minutes to melt the cheese.

I made this for a birthday party in a the largest crockpot. It was a HUGE SUCCESS!

MAC) 2 cups elbow macaroni

Toss everything into the crock and let it cook all day! Once you've tasted it, plain old Mac-n-Cheese just won't be as good.

I have changed the original recipe, I precook the macaroni before I add it to the Crock-Pot. 15 minutes before serving, I also add a small bag of frozen peas.

1 jar of pickle

pack of plain tooth picks

Cut your slices of beef into 4 & cut a pickle into 4wrap the beef around the pickle & put a toothpick through it to hold it together keep doing this until you run out of meat . Pour gravy over .cook in crockpot 6-7 hrs on low ..My kids love this goes over very good .

I do a beef or pork roast in my crockpot. I put water, two beef bouillon cubes, Mrs. Dash seasoning, onions, & then my roast. I cook it it with potatos & carrots. The kids love it plus it's healthy.

I also do BBQ meatballs & Hillshire farm weiners in my crockpot for parties. I put 4 bottles of honey BBQ sauce, 1 tbs of grape jelly, 4 tbs of brown sugar, a bag of meatballs (I prefer the homestyle ones but you can use the Italian), & 2 packages of Hillshire farms weiners. Cook on low for about five to hrs. & then enjoy

Tastefully Simple is a company similar to Pampered Chef that produces a food line. They have recently come out with 3 cooking sauces that are amazing. They also have a load of crockpot recipes on their website. Just simple everyday food with a special seasoning blend and you have dinner. One of my favorites is 6 chicken breast with 2 cans cream of whatever, 1/2 c sour cream and 1 1/2 - 2 tbsp of garlic and tomato pesto seasoning. It turns out to be like a chicken stroganoff topping that you can put over noodles or rice. Check them out online.

I don't have a new crockpot but I've decided to commit to using mine a lot more. I think it would be healthier than coming home and trying to decide what to fix for dinner and ending up with some sort of processed food just because it's quick. I've been "googling" recipes and there are a lot out there. I plan on buying a crockpot cookbook as well. Tonight I'm making Cheese Soup. So simple: 2 cans cream of celery soup, 4 cups shredded cheddar cheese, 1 teaspoon paprika, 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce, 1 1/4 c half-and-half, salt and pepper. Mix all except half-and-half, salt and pepper, cook on low 2-3 hours, then add half-and-half, cook another 20 minutes, then salt and pepper to tasts. Can serve this in a bread bowl for a heartier meal or as a side. I plan on adding shredded cooked chicken to mine.

If you see this, leave this form field blank.
