I use this recipe and have gotten rave reviews when I have made it for parties:

IRISH ROVER'S UNICORN PUB SHEPHERD'S PIE

-------- ------------ --------------------------------

2 pounds Ground beef -- lean

1 cup Onion -- diced

1 cup Carrots -- diced

1 cup Celery -- diced

1 1/2 cups Corn -- fresh or frozen

2 Garlic clove -- minced

Salt -- to taste

Pepper -- to taste

1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg

8 ounces Beef broth

2 tablespoons Butter -- mixed with

2 tablespoons Flour

2 pounds Potatoes -- cooked and mashed

Butter

Cook ground beef in frying pan until brown. Add onion, carrots, celery,

garlic, salt, pepper and nutmeg. Lower heat and cook for 10 minutes or

until vegetables are wilted. Add beef broth, bring to a boil. Stir in

enough of the butter/flour roux to make

a thick gravy to bind the filling. Pour into large shallow baking pan and

cool. The filling should be about 1-1/2 inches deep.

Cover the meat mixture in the pan with the corn and then top with the hot

mashed potatoes. smooth potatoes evenly, brush surface with butter. Bake

at 325 F for 35-40 minutes.

The Irish Rovers, of “Puff the Magic Dragon” and “The Unicorn” fame, own

a

very successful “Old Country Pub” in Calgary, Alberta. Their Shepherd's

Pie is justly famous. Vincent Lee, kitchen manager at the Unicorn says the

recipe came directly from Ireland

nd via the Irish Rovers more than 10 years ago.

All of these recipes sound yummy. I just wanted to add that when I make a shephards pie i usually top it off with shredded cheese on the top! Our family LOVES cheese!

1 lb hamburger

2 cans of Campbell's vegetable soup

1 small onion

Some mashed Potatoes (Use about 8-9 potatoes)

Cook hamburger, add onions and cook till onions are soft. Add in the soup. Heat through. Pour into a deep casserole dish. Top with mashed potatoes and put in a 350*F oven till bubbly around edges.

This recipe is so easy and so good.

This isn't the traditional recipe, but we love it here!
1 pound ground beef or turkey, browned and drained
Mix meat with one can condensed tomato soup, 8oz can tomato sauce, 1 can cut green beans, and 1 can kernel corn; season to taste. Put mixture in bottom of 2 quart casserole and top with 3 cups of mashed potatoes (I make little mounds). Bake in 350F oven for 20 minutes; sprinkle 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese on top and bake another 5 minutes or until melted.

I also have this one from the Duggar family:
TATER TOT CASSEROLE
2 lb ground turkey cooked, seasoned, drained
3 2lb bags tater tots
2 cans cream of mushroom
2 cans evaporated milk
2 cans cream of chicken
Brown meat & place in large cass. dish.
Cover with tater tots. Mix soup & milk together.
Pour over top. Bake at 350 for 1 Hour.
Makes 2- 9”X13” pans

I have the best shephards pie recipe....it is awesome and super easy!!!

1lb hamburger
1 pkg mixed veggies (thawed)
1 can beef gravy
1 pkg instant potatoes (I use roasted garlic flavor)
4 oz cream cheese
2 garlic cloves (minced)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Brown hamburger (I usually season it up to taste)..drain.
Add mixed veggies and beef gravy...heat through.
Meanwhile...make instant potatoes according to package, add cream cheese, garlic, and 1/2 cup cheddar cheese
Pour hamburger mixture into an 8X8 pan
top with mashed potatoes
top with remaining 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Bake 25 mins.
