Does anyone have any good slowcooker recipes?

I am looking for slowcooker recipes that have ingredients I can get at my grocery store. Not ingredients I have to get at a specialty store!

As a single, working mom, I live by the crockpot. You name some ingredients, I'll get you a recipe! I have "The Slow Cooker Bible" as well, and it has some great ones. My favorite is probably this...I almost always have the ingredients on hand, and there is nothing better than coming home--exhausted from a day's work--and having the house smell delicious and dinner already cooked...ENJOY!:

P.S. I have a GIANT slow cooker, so my recipes only take a fraction of the cook time given by the recipe.

Cheesy Slow Cooker Chicken

6 boneless skinless chicken breasts
Salt
Pepper
Garlic Powder
2 cans (10 and 3/4 ounces each) Condensed Cream of Chicken soup (I have also used 1 Cream of Chicken + 1 Cream of Mushroom when I didn't have 2 Chicken on hand)
1 can Condensed Cheddar cheese soup (undiluted)
Chopped fresh parsley (yeah, I don't think I've ever added that)

Put 3 chicken breasts in the slow cooker; sprinkle with salt/pepper/garlic powder.

Repeat with the remaining 3 chicken breasts.

Mix the soups and pour over the chicken breasts. Cover and cook on LOW for 6-8 hours or until chicken is tender (again, I may cook for 2.5-3 hours)

Garnish with the parsley.

Usually I place a chicken breast and pour some of the remaining "sauce" on top of a pile of whatever pasta I may have on hand before I serve--especially in winter, to make it heartier. ENJOY!

I have a ton in my blog but right now my favorite is Cheesey Chicken and Rice Tacos.

http://whatscookingintheburbs.blogspot.c...

1-2 cans of Cheddar cheese soup

1 can full of water

1 can full of salsa

3 chicken breasts

1 C instant rice

10 tortillas ( I used corn)

In your slow cooker, mix all of the ingredients except rice and tortillas. Cook on high for about 4 hours or low for about 8. Then shred the chicken and add your rice. Cook on high for another 15-20 minutes. (until the rice is tender)

Spoon into tortillas and roll. EDIT-This recipe was originally made for burritos and I ended up using corn tortillas and turned them into tacos instead. It was just as delicious!

Here are some of our family favorites:

Italian Beef

Beef Roast (any size you want)

Italian Dressing

Beef Broth

Garlic

Seer the beef roast on both sides on a skillet with hot oil. Then put into the crockpot. Add about 1/4 cup beef broth and a whole bottle of Italian Dressing (I make my own, so use what you like). Then add in some garlic cloves for flavoring (as many or as little as you like). Cook on low for 8-10 hours. After cooked, pull out, let cool for about 10 minutes, then shred with a fork. Serve on hoagie buns with provolone cheese.

Crockpot Chicken with Black Beans & Cream Cheese

4-5 boneless skinless chicken breasts

1 can black beans

1 can corn or 1 pkg. frozen corn (thawed)

1 jar salsa (any kind)

8oz. pkg. cream cheese

Directions

1. Take 4-5 frozen, yes, frozen, boneless chicken breasts put into crock pot.

2. Add 1 can of black beans, drained, 1 jar of salsa, 1 can of corn drained.

3. Keep in crock pot on high for about 4-5 hours or until chicken is cooked.

4. Add 1 package of cream cheese (just throw it on top!) and let sit for about 1/2 hour.

5. All done and enjoy!

BBQ Pulled Pork

pork roast

1/2 cup water

1 onion (sliced)

garlic cloves

BBQ Sauce (any kind)

Seer the pork roast on skillet with hot oil on both sides. Place into crockpot. Pour in water and put the onions and garlic cloves in. Turn crockpot on low for 8-10 hours. After cooked, take out the pork roast to let set for 10 minutes, and dump the juices in the crockpot. Once cooled, use a fork to shred the pork roast, then place back into crockpot. Add BBQ sauce and cook on high in crockpot for about an hour. Then serve with hamburger buns or hoagie buns.
